Since 1960 we have had 10 goalies who marked their first team debut with a clean sheet.

Name 'em.

Alan Fettis? Came on in 'that' Baxter game at half-time when it was already 3-2, and that's the way it stayed.

correct - that was 6/12/03. Or we could count his full debut v Walsall at the Lane on 9/12/03 when we won 2-0.

Eight to go.

Mel Rees of course, amazing debut v Liverpool (2-0). And on a goalkeeper theme, wasn't that the game when Grobelaar did one of his famous outfield dribbling antics, got done, and Deane scored from long range?

Ikeme? I think he made his debut away at Bristol City but I can't remember if it was the season we drew 0-0 or won 3-2...

*Edit* Just looked, it was the season we won 3-2, so he's not one of them.

Rees and Budgie are correct (28/3/92 v Liverpool at the Lane W2-0 and 27/10/84 v Wimbledon at the Lane W3-0).

We lost 1-0 on Leaning's debut v Bournemouth at the Lane on 15/8/87 (though he did save a pen) and we did indeed win 3-2 at Bristol City on Ikeme's debut on 28/11/09.

Six to go.

Anyone going to try anymore before I reveall all (ooh err missus) at 5?

Phil Kite?

I thought this was about our porcine neighbours from S6 -
Darren - you will have to do what I do when writing the day after Tuesday that precedes Thursday.
On a forum, Wendy will suffuce but in general correspondence I find that the abbreviation "Weds" manages to suit - as in Weds 24th August.

Anyway - here are my contributions

Alan Kelly
Steve Conroy
Andy Goram (does he count as two?)

Conroy yes - 23/8/77 Hull (H) 2-0
Kelly probably no - he came on for the last few mins at Spurs after Tracey was sent off on 2/9/92 when we were already 2-0 down and thats how it stayed. His full debut came in the 1-1 draw at home to Arsenal on 19/9/92 so I don't count him!
Goram - no - his debut was a 3-2 win at home to Grimsby on 8/9/98.

Phil Barnes, first and only league appearance v Rotherham (1-0) in 2005?

Yes on 26/2/05. He also bizzarely holds the record for most consectuive clean sheets from a debut in that period - 3. His next two games were league cup games v Boston (H 23/8/05 W1-0) and Shrewsbury (A 20/9/05 D0-0) before finally conceding in the 0-2 LC defeat at Reading on 25/10/05.

Four to go.

Carl Muggleton, v Stoke I think

No. Muggleton's only appearance was as an outfield sub late on in the 3-0 win at Reading on 27/4/96.

Bugger. My first attempt at the day after Tuesday quiz and I fucked it up! Fancy Muggleton coming on as an oufield sub!! What about Merv the Swerve, I seem to recall him playing for us but no idea about scorlines.

Wilko De Vogt?

No. Debut in 2-1 win over Norwich at the Lane on 29/9/01.

Mervyn Day? You are joking. He famously had a disastrous one and only appearance conceding 3 dodgy goals at Wimbledon on 2/5/92. He did though, save a pen from John Fashanu late on to keep the score at 0-3.

Paul Tomlinson?

EDIT: You're not counting something daft like Jagielka in goal are you?!!!
