The start of his run of poor performances for us in the Premiership can probably be traced back to missing that one-on-one in the first half at Fratton Park. It was a terrible miss, and would have probably guaranteed we'd have got something from that game.

Good luck to him, but unfortunately for Pompey this probably seals their fate this season.

Absolutely incredible!! Pompey fans must think Paul Hart has seriously lost the plot. The Arab owner must be well chuffed his manager is spending his money so wisely! I thought portsmouth FC had some dough?? Don't get me wrong, i always loved Danny boy but IMO this move's too big for him.

I was shocked too but it's hardly a massive risk for Pompy seen as they don't have to pay a fee for him. This coupled with the fact that the window closed soon after the Pompy take over was completed and as such they didn't have much time to conclude any transfers probably means Danny was the best option available.

Best of luck to the lad; he only performed in patches but i always liked him as a player.
