The pitch will be fine. The main issue is that the compacted snow on the surrounding streets will freeze over tonight (it's going to drop to -8C) and will be like an ice cream for most of tomorrow. Really can't see the match going ahead.

Met Office site has it no.lowwr than -3 during the night. Accuweather has it at -1 and the good ole Beeb has it at -10 Its apparently -6 now yet I've just got back in the car and it's still wet and thawing here.

The BBC do like a scaremonger.

Can anyone remember the Pigs ever having a game called off due to icy pavements? Sheffield Stealers? Any concerts or theatre shows at The Lyceum , Crucible or City Hall?
If the game is postponed all pubs , shops and restaurants in S2 should be made to close.
