1. When Duffy runs out of puff there is nobody to take over from him.

2. McGoldrick is a lovely player to watch but is simply not ruthless enough.

That to me is where we fall short, form of other players accepted.

Woodburn has been a huge let down and if we still had Brooks, it's here where his skill would help to run the clock down. We're not at it late in games of late because that spark has fizzled out around 70 minutes and there is nothing in the squad to ignite it.

McGoldrick and Clark would be good subs at this level. McGoldrick is a lovely player to watch and could be a good impact sub but his goal output is not enough to be relied upon. Take away the pens and he's hardly threatened in open play. Yesterday's miss was a prime example. If that chance came to Billy it would have been in the roof of the next and 2-0. To other's points, it's a shame we didn't get Marriott.

Pity is, despite yesterday's poor showing we are so very close. A decent penalty kick and some more professional defending yesterday and we'd be top.

Don’t get why people think Duffy can’t last 90 minutes,fittest bloke on the pitch for me and when he gets subbed as you rightly point out
there’s no one to fill his shoes it’s like we lose identity when he’s subbed.

Mcgoldrick did nothing all game, seemed very lethargic! Sharp was muscled out, that said the forwards got no service. Lets be honest United midfield and wingbacks never got on the ball, we were second best to Rothrum all afternoon :/

Agree.
It’s been said by so many people if McGoldrick was ruthless and a better goal scorer he’d be a regular PL player (worth over 20 million).

It was said when he signed he’s NOT going to score many goals but his trickery, cleverness and link play has been better than I expected and thats what makes him such an asset.
