I’d be very surprised if we sell them all, I’ll be even more surprise if we lose money on the ones we do sell. Not sure I agree with this. If you consider that we have most of them for 3 to 4 years and there’s a chance that only 1 of those will be in the PL.
Ramsdale - might be worth £10m as a top end Championship keeper but I can’t remember the last time a Championship team spend a wedge on a keeper.
Berge - good chance he’ll go at a loss in the summer as he’s not proved himself to be a consistent PL player in the time he’s been with us.
Brewster and McBurnie - need a 15-20 goal season each in the Championship for them to be worth what we paid.
Mousset - too risky for most to pay a fee as he’s never fit.
The ones who could appreciate are:
Bogle (almost certainly) and Lowe (with some good Championship experience behind him).
The ones that will certainly have increased in value we can’t afford to let go of because they are integral to who we are:
JOC, Egan, Baldock, Fleck, Stevens
The others are too old and probably going for nothing or ending their careers with us.
Value is not just a sell on fee, it’s value to the club whilst they’re at the club.
My point was not to analyse individual players, but the type of players we’ve signed and why I don’t think that adding this January was necessarily a good thing
