Which ones think that? :)

Did you take any positives from today?

As said in another thread, he probably didn't see the positive end to the game. 2 goals in stoppage time.

Half the people whinging on here think we lost 4.2 cos they ran off to the car park

Foxy yer know my thoughts on 'cheap as chips' they have been the same since the day he was appointed.
At the time there were better managers around who McCbabe cud an shud have appointed..... but he chose the cheap as chips option.
If Blackwell stays he will do more damage to the Blades than f!0pp0 did.

Positives today ....... yes we played better than for a while ..........but hey that wasn't hard to do.

Nowts changed wi me 'cheap as chips' has to go.

mmmm .......... i did !
as i've said we lost today and because we've gone down the sh!tter so much wi cheap as chips in charge sum Blades think we've won the Champions League.

I didn't boo at all today but the tumultuous applause at the end was almost as bad. People seemed to think that five minutes of concerted effort made up for 93 minutes of complete ineptitude. Conceding four at home should never been acceptable.

heard the result on sky lads got to say you were unlucky not to nick a draw but have heard from jamieward18 that you did well and passed it and created good chances

but in my opinion you cant keep losing something has to give just please do all Sunderland fans a favour and beat Newcastle next week please :D

Goo on then, name names :)

It wasn't hard to improve on our recent performances, but it certainly isn't an easy match to perform against Cardiff. For me, the plus points were:

* - Despite the shocking defending, we didn't crumble and kept going.

* - We thought about what we were doing and put together some good moves going forward.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think we were world class, but we were much better than of late.

A stronger defence and we'd have come away with some points today.

Nowts changed wi me 'cheap as chips' has to go.

Maybe he will, but you can't deny the improvement.

It was an improvement but the score sheet still shows that Cardiff scored 1 more than us and took the points. Coming off the back of the 2 defeats at scunny and blackpool it's not good enough.

I have said that Newcastle will be the game we win though.........:fishy:

well sure keenzy that's a defence problem maybe there a bit shell shocked or nervous

I've got all neight mate :)

Don't forget to bear in mind they'd have to agree terms and manage to get us near the playoffs and then to the final or better.

Thats another can of worms ! ..................
Who knows decent managers might have applied for the job but McCabe said no.

I cant fault the effort today thought we passed the ball well and should have won bar a couple of defensive errors and some terrible officiating.

Cardiff almost scored after 50 seconds but after that chance we were pretty solid at the back and passed the ball well, thought Henderson led the line quite well up front and showed he is capable of passing and moving, he also took his goals well.

The defending for the 3rd goal was poor and slack and the 4th goal was well-worked through simple route one passing.

To give credit to the lads at 4-2 down they still kept playing and we definetely deserved a point at least.

We need to keep up that standard of passing and need to work on our movement a little more and definetely need to sort it out in defence if we are to get back to the kind of standard required to get out of this league, but I suppose that's easy for me to say and harder to do.

Overall, pleased with the response of the players and we must keep it up and keep behind the lads through this difficult time. It's frustrating and I am frustrated as any blade. I also thought the fans were decent overall and got behind the lads when it mattered.

Pleased with the improved performance today and think we were very unlucky not to take a point.

However, we have still lost and it is important that we start picking points up again soon - I don't expect this to start against Newcastle (though will remain hopeful!) so a decent performance is a must.

Still don't think Blackwell is the right man to take us forward but I'm really not sure who should come in to replace him. It would have to be someone capable of working on a tight budget as it has become clear that the transfer budget is just not there.

Will be interesting to see what McCabe has to say about our situation when he next comes on Radio Sheffield. I appreciate that financial side of things has to be restructured because of high wages etc., but with the transfer money and Tevez money coming back into the club I would have thought that we could afford to spend a bit more on the squad than we are doing currently. What are his expectations for this season? I would have thought Play Offs as a minimum but I'm not so sure any more. I think it has been suggested previously by others that he appears happy to keep us as a Championship side and I couldn't agree more.

Automatic - no chance
Play Offs - No Chance
Halfway - Possible
Escape Relegation - Probable
Relegation - Unlikely
I bet we wern't thinking that at the styart of the season!

I'm not fortunate enough to be able to attend matches so I could only follow them via the net and first read the match report on espn and from what was read, I thought it was fantastic that the team was applauded at the end, eventhough it was yet another loss. I know I'm not the most qualified person on here to comment because I live thousands of miles away from Sheffield but surely this is the time for every single Blade to get behind the team and show our full support and loyalty and with that, we'll hopefully be able to get 3 points against the Toons and start getting a good, consistent run of results.

Good on those who applaud, I could only wish I was there.

UTB!!!

We were lucky not to have lost 5. 1 based on the first 35 minutes. One way traffic!
Only the Cardiff defence cock up prevented the car park protest starting at half time.

We were unlucky not to win too. Killa's shot was deflected by a Cardiff player who had no idea what he was doing, Morgan's clearance was unluckily deflected, Quinn's effort on another day may well have stood, and either side could have scored more. We weren't terrible by any stretch of the imagination.

An sum Blades think we've won the Champions League.

Just shows how far we've gone down the sh!tter with 'cheap as chips'.

And when we stuck 3 past the pigs and some 'Blades' thought we were lucky and they were the better side, it showed just how far down the shitter our support has gone.

Serious question - did you go today?

No-one could say the first 35 minutes were one way traffic, certainly not in Cardiff's favour anyway.

Blackwell ....... he's crossed off ! :D

McCall not enuff experience.
Southgate he's an ugly cnut.

I'm now pondering Curbishley.

I can't make misen say it ..............
