.......Or Christmas is cancelled in my house!

The majority of my mates are Bristol C*ty fans or Sh*t heads as they are known round here,
the abuse I would receive would be equal to that of the fowls from swillsborough up your way.

Plus my adopted second team is Bristol Rovers.

Cmon dem Blades!

I live between Loftus Road and Craven Cottage. I've been putting a brave face on for weeks now.

We need to win to keep in touching distance of Cardiff, do not need Brizzie pulling away from us and others moving up our arse. Lets hope Wilder's rant has landed with the players and the blip is done.

I don't think we'll go 4 without a win. And we tend to do well on Sky.

Will be a very tough game, was very impressed with them against Boro they should have won by more. I can definitely see them scoring at least 1.

I wish I could believe that, at the moment i'm worried. I hate this fixture unless we win.

Up the Gas :-)
Spent two years working in Brizzle, nearly all gasheads in the office. Brizzle is a great night out.

Never like all this we've got to win tosh, then we get nervous and the crowd goes quiet and BDTBL becomes a morgue, more likely to win when the pressure is off with the crowd behind us. We're way ahead of where we expected to be, 4 or 5 more wins and we're safe, no chance of a top two finish so relax and what will be will be. Needless pressure and expectation is counter productive, better to be fearless and give it our best shot.

With two tough looking away games to follow We need to get something on Friday even if it’s only a point.

Bitterly cold too on Friday which always knocks the atmosphere down.

Not just Leon with the gloves then?

Without sounding too miserable, with two difficult away games coming up next we really need a win on Friday.

That’s come as a real shock BB, I’d always imagined you in the outback trying to get a 3G signal by a billabong as you stoked the barby mate. :D

We will lose this game but this will be the end of our 4 game blip, if we do manage to win then we kick on a game early.. we will have a decent run up and over Christmas, back in the top 3 by NYD. 5pts behind wolves.

UTB

Which is pathetic. If only a small percentage of our supporters realised what a positive difference they can make.

Fully agree. You get shot on here for criticising our fans but sometimes, I don't think we get behind the team enough. Yes we might turn out in numbers but we don't back them when things are going against us. Leeds went 1-0 pretty soon into their game with us but carried on singing loudly as though they were 0-0 and it made a difference. We can be so fickle sometimes. These days, unless it's a big game, it seems to take us to score 1-2 goals to actually create an atmosphere. Even at Millwall, the atmosphere there was poor, many (including myself) were trying to get the chants going but hardly anyone was joining in.

If you look around next time you go the place is full of old fogies. That's why there's no singing. The young uns are sat in the family stand and nothings ever going to start in there. There's a smattering of young uns in the rest of the ground but I see the same old faces every season just getting older than the season before. I don't stand up and sing because I'd look like a dick at my age, plus I couldn't be arsed. I do shout them on though if that counts. Even on H block I'm surrounded by fogies ffs.

The Lane is better than most for atmosphere still - has anyone been to Old Trafford recently, it's fucking rubbish. Ricky 's got the right idea but it's going to need a sustained effort.

I stand up and sing because I want to get behind the team and at my age I'm happy to look like a dick.

In fact, I don't even care what any other fucker thinks of my looks.

I've earned the right ;)

There's the same problem with our away following.

But if more of the younger fans weren't useless we wouldn't mention it. Only a small percentage of them go with the intention of making a real effort to get behind the team. All most seem to want to do is to turn up and watch us win.

Everybody should provide vocal support away from home though. There should be a collective 'mission' mentality. If you're going to make the effort to travel then at least try and play your part. We all stand up now so there's no excuse.

It was very poor. Away day in London, alcohol levels high, and at 2-1 down (within ONE goal of a result!) two or three lads tried to start the 'United, United' chant only to be met with a deafening silence. Summed it up. Going back to my previous post, there were loads of younger fans towards the left hand side at the back, so it really was a poor effort.
