Would love to see Brooks in a Blades shirt, but let's face it, if we do sell him neither our starting 11 or our squad would be any weaker. It's like free money.

That's what CW said when Ramsdale went south and he was on the bench every week. Having a fine Academy will always draw attention but with our improving situation it will be what happens with the next batch, as Larkie says, who are all Blades mad and have been fully developed at Shirecliffe. Brookes has been brought on by us but has moved before so not the same commitment to the cause. I am a big fan having watched him a lot at U23s

I agree about being a big fan. But I was a big fan of Louis Reed and looked what's happened to him! :-)

At a young age it is development and motivation Our academy coaches are good at this, probably why the boys are moved on. i hear a lot about attitude That's why I am enthused by the lads who have been with us all the way.

Why what's happened to him, please enlighten us all with the facts
Reed was played far too early by Clough... He was a boy playing in mans football. It was a fantastic experience and one that every young lad dreams of but in hindsight Clough did him no favours at all.

He has now had to grow into a man with the pressure that comes with a first team player.

Without question Reed deserves a full season of first team football. There is no way CW will give him that next season so the lad should go out on loan, mature, play football every week and see where the land lays on his return.

Anyone who watched him play u23s all last season will agree that he was the stand out player in most games.
