they have a number of players out including tommy smith and kabba.

Darius Henderson and James Chambers are also doubtful according to the paper

Poor game and at times was very boring.

Didnt help with the ref stop starting the game all the time.

It felt like the 2nd half was going to last for years.

Decent result decent goal and we just about deserved the win. Mainly due to watford not being able to hit a cows arse with a banjo.

We are staying up and that will do for me anyway. :)

we won at the end of the day. dodgy goal and they hit bar. evens itself out over the season. that penalty at liverpool game for a start.

Not our best game by far, but at this point of the season, results matter more than the quality of the game, and you know what points mean...

Premiershipppppp Fuuuuuuuuuzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzbbbbbaaaaalllllll!!!!!

Come On You Red And White Wizzzzzzzzzzzaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrddddddddddzzzzzzzzz

Utb!!!

watford are dirty bastards, they came to spoil the game, and they accomplished that for most of it.

We were very pooor

but in the end a win all that we needed :)

Shit game lets face it, but we got the three points so all good.

on another day we wud have got battered 3 or 4 1 but we won so who cares

How Carlisle didnt get sent of is beyond me.

Henderson once again yesterday showed how much of a dirty bastard he still is.

The ref was bloody awful but im just so glad he didnt cost us the game.

We finally got a fair share of luck yesterday and it is a good thing we did because i don't think we would have scored otherwise.

A poor performance against a difficult opponent but this was always going to be the case, 3 points is all that matters and we are now within touching distance of safety.

I'm already forming my wish list for the summer, but i'll keep a lid on it until we are officially safe.

Special mention for Bob Bookers fantastic leadership of GCB before the game - made the hairs stand up on the back of my neck...what a legend!

Glad of the 3 points, delighted in fact. I'd have been worried if we'd have played like that, at home, at any other stage of the season though!

Up the Blades.

was dissapionted with the game really, although i dont think that it was down to not playing well. Watford come to the lane with the sole intention of kicking us off the park, and they had a good go. Couple that with the shit reffing and general shit officials (spelling???) meant that the game couldnt get going, stop start for the majority of the first half.

Carlisle was a very very lucky bastard and the ref should be sent to sunday league games for that decision.

But at the end of the day at this point in the season, 3 points is 3 points and i rather have that at the moment than "pretty" football and not get anything.

UTB

PS: Does anyone think that Niel may go in for King in the summer, saw the interview on MOTD and he couldnt have given him enough love, apart from shagging him there and then!!

Did you not see the Men & Motors version of the interview then???!!!
:D :D :D

But really I think he could be a good buy if the Strikers we have don't live up to Warnocks expectations.

King would be a quality siging he should be praising him!

yeh he would be a good buy.

I also think Chopra from cardiff may be worth a look and im sure he's looking to possibly bring Sharp back, i know he was playing in league 1 but to score over 30 goals is still special.

Another player who has been around a while but i have always liked is Jamie Cureton. Scored wherever he has been but is just a shame about his age, at 32/33 he is a little too old to take a risk on!

If West Ham go down, somehow I can imagine Warnock will go all out and try and sign Dean Ashton, re-establish the strike partnership of Hulse and Ashton during their days at Crewe.

heard maybe beatie from everton?

Beattie hasn't done a deal since he signed for Everton, and would probably want more wages than we are prepared to pay, and definitely more than he's worth. Plus his recent goal scoring hasn't exactly been formidable - since the 04/05 season, a total of 86 appearances for only 18 goals in all competitions isn't good enough by miles.
Ashton is a good shout, but West Ham would probably be able to afford Premiership wages for at least a season to try and bounce straight back and again I feel the transfer fee and wages would be prohibitive.
Billy Sharp would be worth a try if the fee wasn't too high, but Scunny will, I reckon, try their damnedest to keep him.
I can't think of who would be a good buy and not too costly, and that's probably why I don't work for a football club.

if west ham go down, do you think they would hang on to reo-coker? Would wages be a problem for us and would "bigger" clubs be after him?
