I've decided to go now............I must be mad.

Anyone know the best place to park??

UTB

Have usually parked in the town centre multistories, as only a 15 min walk or so to the ground from there, but with it being a night match I don't know what time these close for the evening. Large areas round the ground are permit holders only if I remember right. So will probably try and park in one of the town centre carparks if I can check if they'll stay open or not!

Big Wetherspoons pub on the High Street, something like the Moon on the Water (?), is decent for prematch food and drink. I'll probably be in Watford fairly early, as I'm taking the pm off and going for lunch with a friend in Chesham (just down the road from Watford) before going to the game.

Everytime I hear the words "watford gap" it reminds me of the old song by liverpool. The anfield rap.

Good ol' Johnny Barn-es (when he does his thing the crowd goes bananas lol)

I am offkis down watford, but getting a few beers down me so i wont be worrying about parking. (no im not driving lol)

Where we all going for a pint then?

We usually end up in Macs Bar just round the corner from the ground. It's always full of Blades.

Multistories the best bet. They're open 24hrs I think - well late enough anyway - and for midweek you'll have no bother getting out (unlike if you came on a Saturday this close to Christmas, for example...)

Thanks for the info Matt and welcome to the forum.

Cheers for the advice & welcome to the site :), where's the cheapest? :D

Our poor away form continued with a hard fought but eventual defeat at West Ham on Saturday. Do we revert to 4-4-2 and go for it at Vicarage Road, or do we stick with the defensive approach.

Predictions and comments in here...

I've found this..........

£2.50 all day so another site says.

I'd seen the horror flick on here, Crossbar challenge! Once seen never forgotten, reminded me of Ian Rush in a Blades shirt :D

I parked somewhere around the back of Macs Bar when I last went to Watford

Ian Rush was one of the best natural goalscorers ever!

:)

He was, however, shite in a Blades shirt!

Hopefully Nade will start in a 4-4-2 line up.

Although no doubt we will see 4-5-1. :(

They're all managed by the council (all of them on the ring road anyway) so they all cost the same. Will be £1.60 "out of hours" I think. Church is probably the closest to the ground, but none on the ring road are more than 10 mins away (it's kinda small, as ring roads go).

Parking

Hi all

Found this as I'm driving to Watford tommorow night. Its on the Saracens website (which i cant post a ling to as I'm new, just look on Google) the instructions and maps on there site are much better than the Watford FC ones.

Anyway hope they are of use to someone, anybody no a good friendly boozer nearby?

Car Parking: There is plenty of car parking in Watford Town Centre. Fans are advised to use Church, Sutton, Gade and Palace Charter Car Parks which are sign posted from the Ring Road. (See the map above) Vicarage Road Stadium is a five minute walk from the car parks.

Gade – open 24 hours, 7 days. Level 3 and above - £2.50 all day.
Sutton – 24 hours, 7 days. Up to 4 hours, £2.40
Palace Charter and Church – open from 7am until midnight. Up to 4 hours, £2.40

The Moon on the Water in the town centre has been mentioned a few times as has Macs Bar outside the ground... depends how early you get there :)

Thanks for the info on parking Matt.

I'll probably go to Moon on Water at least to start with, went there last season for cheap food b4 our great comeback win. :D

Wonder if Watford fans will give Kozzy a warm welcome after last year?
