11.30pm for me which isn't the worst. I'll have a kip before and after as gotta be up at 7am on Monday morning so tmrw will be tiring anyway. Not too nervous tbh. Used to affect me more when I went I actually went to the games.
Went into the City to watch it, crafty squire. A good evening! Glad I booked today off work!

About 50 Blades and 30 pigs in the same pub in Benidorm. I thought about going somewhere else as I couldn't imagine what would happen if they scored. Turned out it was good banter. When we scored, beer went flying everywhere and they went a bit quiet but there wasn't a hint of violence. To be fair they took it well. At one point I just stood right in the middle of them singing 'Cry cry piggies piggies cry'. The afternoon is a bit hazy after that. We ended up on the Duvals which was a BIG fucking mistake. Never again. Epic afternoon though.

An Irish bar in rural China saved the day, who would have thought, great stuff and love your perseverance. 😀🇮🇪
It's a strange world Cork!! Was lucky I knew the owner of the pool bar, as all was a series of coincidences/chances that led to me watching it. I now know the place I rang doesn't have Sky.

When I arrived here in China, someone messaged me who I met last year, and he messaged me if I wouldn't mind helping his Chinese friend do some English translation/adverts in the town near me... turned out to be this pool bar in the next town. Was a great decision this, as I completely changed their English advert into a great one, and I haven't paid for anything in there ever since!

I then randomly saw one of the owners of the pool place when I had that breakfast at the begining of the film, and she said she loved the England games during the last world cup and could she come with me to watch it. She said come to the pool bar first for pool and beers and I told her all about the problem I had to watch the game, and she then rang this Irish bar in town as she knew Anthony, the owner... turns out he is Chinese but lived in Ireland for 20 years (hence his good English), and the only place in this town with SKY tv!

I watched the game from my home on the Costa Blanca. It is much more nerve wracking than being at BL. After 70 mins I kept looking on my phone which was two or three minutes in front of my tv. 1-0 and I was glad when it was over. We deserved the win because we scored a good goal and they didn’t. My six year old grandson, who is already a Blade, watched the highlights from their home in California. My family are five generations now of being Blades. Once a Blade always a Blade.

Genuine question. What makes a bar an Irish bar. I’ve never really fathomed
The bar has to be owned by an Irish family and even though the staff may be of different nationalities they'll all be able to buy into the craic, atmosphere, that is generated by the music that you'll inevitably find in any proper Irish pub.
You'll also need bar staff that can pour a Guinness properly.
Alot of so-called "Irish pubs " abroad are mere imposters jumping on the bandwagon of what I've mentioned above.

Lived here for past 5 years now, just out in Blackburn. Yourself?

There was a few mix of blades and wendy, would say 30 in all
Ah that's a good turnout. I never knew there were so many blades in Melbourne. I should watch games out more often! I used to be a London Blade and miss the pub games but stupid times here mostly.

I'm over in South Melbourne myself so close to the action
