Scored three international goals for Northern Ireland, one coming against against Slovenia, in a friendly and one against Norway in a Uefa Euro 2016 qualifier.

Overall 129 goals in 337 games some of which were non league. So yes he can, and his pace and workrate would tend to make us hope that he might be another good acquisition by Wilder.

Lies, damn lies and statistics. :)

Only 13 of the total 129 goals have been scored in the championship, and it’s taken 100 games to hit that figure. A willing runner? Yes An effective goalscorer at this level? No

want to really know what some fans are expecting to get for 4,5 even 8m quid
Man City paid 60 million for Mahrez and hes scored 4 so far

no striker has ever tucked away goals with every chance and in every game,, ever
we have 3 strikers , sharp clarke and mcgoldrick who have scored 17 of our 32 goals so far , in a system we use the strikers to pull defences apart to let bash and freeman and others score
Of course we will sign another striker but he will be declared fucking useless by our fans if he doesnt score at least 5 in his first dozen games
we expect our players to shit miracles

Hope he gets a chance vs Leeds on Saturday. Would be interesting to see what he's like starting with Sharp

He's very much a runaround kind of player, more suited to being a sub than starting, but handy for a game like tonight without Duffy as it offers a different way to play. Surprised he went off as he's the kind of player you want for an out ball when defending a lead.

I'd still start with Sharp and McGoldrick on Saturday though.
To be fair, I'd do the opposite, I'd start Washington and Clarke....why....because I saw a little bit of the Brooks/Clarke about that pairing, and Leon is now off the mark again, maybe his confidence will pick up now, and with Washington's pace dragging defenders out, it leaves Clarke in space, and that can only be a good thing.

Not played regularly for ages though, decision making and touch will improve with minutes you'd imagine.
It's like people comparing Coutts under Adkins and Coutts under Wilder, a bit of time and effort and some regular starts, and who knows!

Washington's performance last night gets better the more you analyse it. You look at all the runs he made, the link up play, they were all excellent.

He's not just a 'trier' either, he has quality. I hope he gets a goal soon, I think the sooner he does the better, be interesting to see if that goal triggers a run of games/goals.

He played really well.

This is his type of game. He’s no good at home against a side which parks the bus as we saw with Birmingham but when there’s space to stretch the game away from home he’ll do a good job.

If Reach had scored that one the stir would be masturbating all over for months.

Looked lively when he came on again today & was oh so close with the overhead kick that hit the bar. Definitely offers something very different to what we already have & his pace can be a huge outlet for us if we can utilize it properly.

Unlucky not to get his blades goalscoring career up and running this afternoon.

Hopefully he'll get his goal down at Reading at the weekend

Looked very useful today. He and Johnson aren't fluent with how we play yet but they both injected a turn of pace right when we needed it and when we were starting to look very samey.

I like Washington but Johnson seems like a modern day Andy Scott for me, head down and run with no end product. Hopefully I'm wrong as I think Enda will need a break at some point soon.

Seemed to have an immediate impact and created a chance for McGoldrick.

Hitting the bar like that showed the unbelievable bad luck he's had for a long time, at QPR and here.

Surely they have to start flying in for him soon.

He's shown something recently and deserves a chance. Really gives 100%. Would love to see him do well for us.

Think he could be an ideal replacement for billy sharp.. similar stature, less strength but quicker

He’s got all the attributes to replace Sharp exept the most important one. It’d be interesting to see what would happen if his luck changed in front of goal and one of two goals bobbled in off his backside. So much about confidence in that position.

Out of interest is Washington injured ? Only switched on at kick off so didn’t realise he wasn’t on the bench.

Seems strange to have both Madine and Clarke on the bench. Appreciate he’s not setting the world alight but maybe could have been useful running the channels yesterday.

He's one of those players who can look good but is incapable of lifting his head up with a result of no end product. There have been a few notable exponents of this during my time watching football and we have seemed to end up with a fair few of them.
