Barnet was his chance.
I wouldn't be suprised if that was his last chance.

That would be absolutely ridiculous if so. He was no worse than anybody else, was the only one who looked like he could make anything happen, had no service at all, then got subbed after 60 minutes before we started having any possession. Because obviously we can't be taking Clarke off.

No I agree, but the way Wilder slammed the team yet brought Clarke and Dowell back into the first team squad while dropping Washington out of it completely leads me to think his days are numbered.
He could have just meant Stearman, Lundstram and Freeman etc when he said "We are where we are because none of those players are in my starting 11 in the league". I just think if he's not taken the bollocking very well we might not see him getting a place on the bench let alone a starting opportunity ever again here.

I think Madine's simply ousted him. Again, can't be leaving Clarke out of the squad.

I think we need to let Washington go and get another pacey striker to be Billy’s understudy

That should've been Adam Armstrong (or Marriott) in the summer. Pacy, but with good movement and quality. We need that.

I agree at the moment with not taking him on beyond the end of this season, but as we have him he should be used. We were unable to get anything to stick up top so having him chasing the ball down could have got us possession.

I’d have preferred him to Clarke yesterday. Easy to say in hindsight of course

The Adam Armstrong who hasn’t pulled any trees up in a decent Blackburn team?

He's doing well now. Not sure what you'd expect of him. Doesn't always play up front, if it's the goal tally you're focusing on. They seem to rate him quite highly. Will comfortably be worth more than what they paid, as I said in the summer.

You mean he did well in the game that was on tv last week? He’s only started 15 games so he can’t be doing that well. Whenever I’ve seen him he reminds me of Marc McNulty. Based on what he’s done this season he’s certainly not worth more than the £2m they paid, though his value won’t have decreased.

He was a long term signing for a Championship club and they're using him as I expected - in and out of the team, various positions. I don't think it's the best place for him because they play one up front (Graham) generally, and he won't play that role. He'd be better off at a club who play two up front. Although he seems to have done OK from the left.

Yep, done ok but as I said he’s not pulled up any trees. His value won’t have increased one jot, although he’s young so there’s still time for that to happen.
