Was that an intentional yellow for Fleck?

It looked to me like he was rather determined to pick up a yellow at the end there!

A good shout I reckon, as he now misses the FA Cup and QPR games. I think we'll struggle at Leicester with or without Fleck and QPR should be winnable regardless. He's then back in the side for the trickier away league games.

So, a good move?

He did it to try and stop them getting on the attack.

Looked like he was looking for it to me. Probably been told to get one in the last minute if be could manage it. Only a 1 league match ban now and be starts with a clean slate.

Makes sense to miss the cup game. If it wasn’t intentional, then it should have been.

Definitely intentional. He was looking for it.

As a matter of curiosity, the dive for the pen, I'm presuming now he's been booked there can be no further action after the fact?

I was angry at the time as it was stupid but he did it deliberately in my opinion. He even took another player out straight after as he thought the ref had not seen the first one..
Lee Bronby took a deliberate yellow many moons ago when he constantly took a throw in from the wrong place.

Without a doubt, tried it, ref played on, tried the same with the next player, making sure it was seen.

Funny thing is, the ref, playing advantage, then decided to give a free kick that wasn't so he could book him.

I think it was in our triple assault season Michael Brown took a yellow for throwing the ball away at Stoke. All the Blades were cheering when he got his card and the Stoke fans all looked bemused.

His suspension meant he didn't miss the play off matches.

Little Scottish clothes-lining mad man! Thought he was going to pick a third victim for a minute!

The first one looked like an attempt to delay the free kick rather than get a booking. Things got a little suspicious when he turned round and charged into the guy behind him.

Looked very soft

What? Getting a yellow card for a completely unrelated incident has no relevance about whether you can get retrospective action for diving. Why would it?

He didn't dive though.

It’s sad that a player deliberately chooses to miss an fa cup tie away at a premiership team. Sign of the times.

Yes ;)

I don't understand. Why would he deliberately try to get booked?
Because he's on four yellows and we've got two games coming up, the first we probably won't win and we're not going to win the cup anyway so it's not as important as a league game and the second is QPR who will probably try to outmuscle us and may be more suited to Lenny or Lundy. That means Fleck gets his ban out of the way and returns for important games we need to win to keep challenging for the playoffs

Thanks - so if he'd picked up a 5th yellow today, he would've had to have served a 2 match ban against Leicester and QPR.

I’ve mentioned on another thread but it’s crazy because we now will be without Fleck, Evans and Leonard for the Leicester game

So what? You'd rather him miss another league game?

This was his 10th booking actually. I can see why he’s done it but he needs to make sure he doesn’t get another 5 cards as that’s another 3 games and they could potentially be very important games.

Judging by the way he was laughing at the ref and then to Stevens afterwards he was definitely looking for it

Grabbed hold of one player mmmmmm maybe he won’t book me mmmmmmmm me thinks I’ll have another f****r to just to make sure. Great move Flecky. Now only misses one league game not two
