They did the journey in four hours? That works out at 291.9 miles, according to theaa.com. That makes an average speed of 72.975 miles per hour, which I believe is above the speed limit, made even worse if they stopped at the services to let Kozluk stock up on tins of expensive sweeties.
Naughty coach driver.
I never speed.:D

Oops.....

I was on the outskirts of Portsmouth after just over 3 hours.

You can actually drive speed limit plus 10% and not be done for speeding :D

although in this instance, coaches should not be going above 60 so should make it an average of less than 66mph

Who has told you that?
ACPO, the Association of Chief Police Officers RECOMMEND that speeders are given leeway of 10% plus three miles an hour, but it is only a RECOMMENDATION. The police and speed cameras can and will give out tickets if the speed limit is broken, even by one mile an hour.
This has been reported in several national newspapers, Crown Prosecution Service internal memos and the Police Gazette.
Give them an excuse and they will nick you.

But if it is under 10% (plus 2 as you rightly put) you can hotly dispute it.
