Can i just ask does anyone feel sorry for Mr Warnock not Crystal Palace, Warnock?? Can you imagine if that had been at the lane

I do a bit, it was a stinker of a decision, but I did get fed up hearing about it every five minutes at the weekend. But I suppose thats what you get for listening to TalkCrap and watching Sky Sports News.

I just heard the same old, Neil Warnock goes mad at reffing decision stuff they churn out whenever he has one of hit nut-do's.

Anyone else and we'd hear sympathy across the board.

It was a shocker though, glad they've been suspended!

I think that most football fans looked at it and thought it was disgraceful in the same way as the incident at Watford last year. However do we feel the same sense of injustice when a goal is wrongly ruled out for offside or a push? Or do we just put that down to the swings and roundabouts of football?

I don't feel sorry for Warnock or the Palace fans, I do feel aggrieved that FIFA still won't consider technology for incidents like this. Be interesting to see how the Europa cup experiment with the extra official behind each goalline goes (or did I just dream they were doing that?) as that should mean incidents like Saturday are a thing of the past.

I do think that Warnock's oft repeated point about refs not having played is very true though, anybody could see from the players reaction that it was a goal.

"However do we feel the same sense of injustice when a goal is wrongly ruled out for offside or a push?"

See your point but in most case's goals being ruled out are for things the referee has adjudged to have happened, rightly or wrongly. They make mistakes and crap decisions but you live with his opinion.

This wasn't a matter of opinion but a scandalous misjudgement on the officials part. It went in, all the players acted accordingly and why there was even a debate between the officials is a mystery.
Should be stopped from reffing for the rest of the season.

I wish it hadn't have happenned to Warnock but in symapthy for him but becuase if his association with us .It just gives all the idiots on phone ins to have a go at the blades . This weekend we've had comments like " how can he claim fair play after the battle of bramall lane " ( how far back?) , and " what if Bristol get promoted by a point , i suppose sheffutd will sue them" - It just brings the pond life with an agenda out of the woodwork
Cue Mr Fat Sam ... " What about kabba?? " i can see it coming .

If that had happened to Arsenal/Man Utd/Liverpool/Chelsea/Man City....you can guarantee this saturday, every goalpost in the country would be fitted with a Camera...

Warnock was right when he said "who are we...no one cares about Crystal Palace"...any manager outside the top 5 could say that...

FIFA are going to have to deal with this at some point. Decisions about pushes and shoves can to some degree be regarded as subjective calls by the ref - but imagine the situation if a decision like that (ie a black and white decision where the ball was a yard over the line) costs a team Premiership status/£50mil. It's all good and well FIFA saying that clubs know the rules about refs decisions being final before thay agree to join the competition - but this seems more like a case of the FIFAs representative (the ref) not upholding their rules of the game. Ready made court case!!!

If that had happened to us I'd have been fully supportive of Blackwell instructing players to leave the field until such time as the goal was given or logical reason for disallowing it given. I know that is starting a slippery slope but this was so extreme that such a reaction was justified.

I have major sympathy for Warnock, especially for City trying to portray him as some form of clown figure - which no doubt many Blades abree with! I don't by the way.

I've seen the incident many times and swear the ref begins to jog backwards towards the centre circle as they often do if goal goes in. Mind you he could have been waiting for a goal kick but if he thought it hit post that can't be right and no pole behind net at Bristol. Anyway, Bristol stink on this one and I hope they get stick everywhere they go.
