Is his hairline receding or is his head just jutting outwards?

Either way, I'm convinced there's a promising career ahead for him as a pantomime dame when he packs football in.

"I used to love it after games at Sheffield United. Derek the kit man would bring me a cup of tea and I would sit back in a little slipper bath and think about all those young kids like I used to be, with short trousers, going home with their dads talking about ‘that’ shot, ‘that’ tackle, ‘that’ goal, ‘that’ header. Excited, and not being able to wait for the next game."

FFS. He'll tell the one about being a lad in Frechvielle next and watching the Norwich coaches come past; t'magic o' t'cup.

He really can't stop himself. Stick a microphone in front of him and he's like the Duracell bunny. Blah blah blah....

"It is not dissimilar to when I was at Sheffield United – we are all together. I said to the players before the season, ‘Listen lads, I’m after my eighth promotion – and the other seven, the squads still have reunions’. All of them – Huddersfield, Notts County, Scarborough, Plymouth. I told them they would have a reunion, too, because they are the same type of group.”

I bet they don't invite you though, you big nosed bastard!

Give the guy some credit. Cardiff are top of the league and Colin is going for a record 8 promotions so i think the press will have asked for the interview not him. All you Warnock haters need to think about the seasons before and after his tenure. As for you Tyler you are an angry little man aren,t you, seek treatment before it eats you away son .

Credit for getting us up, sure, but it could have been so much better. Instead of dallying with the Pompey job (real 'big' club), he could have kept us up and then he would have got a lot more credit. We had some great times but a nasty taste lingers too.

It's the 'big Blade' guff that gets me most. We were the best thing ever until he went to Palace who were a 'big club' then Leeds/Cardiff etc etc etc. Less is more and if he could only keep his gob shut occassionally, he might have more fans at S2.

Yeah in fairness, he still has a big following amongst fucking simpletons.....

So whose alternate forum account are you then?

You reference 'Warnock Haters' then call him 'Colin' !!

His dalliance with Portsmouth was during the promotion season, not the Premiership season. His failings in the Premiership were the negative tactics away form home and a baffling January transfer window.

That's the chap. He used to collect the money from us when we played five a side in the old training shed before it was condemned. The shed that is, not our five a side team.

Forgot all about that shed. It was class in there with the overhead gantry thing, can imagine that's what 5 a side pitches were like in ancient Rome.

Random thoughts on Warnock

Good manager, though he has his flaws (who doesn't though)
Excellent motivator
Can often achieve vastly improved results almost instantly with much the same players
Was heavy on rotation and impact substitutions in his time with us, and was arguably ahead of the curve in these areas. Used his whole squad.
Can get goals out of players that are already at the club but finds it difficult to construct a forward line himself
Goes out of his way to rile up some managers and referees - this has arguably cost him as his teams seem to always get more bad decisions than most
His teams always try hard and never give up
Overmatched in the Premier League, though in his defence he usually has less resources than most
Like Mourinho, he's good at taking the pressure off a squad and putting it on his shoulders, but sometimes he makes it all about him to the detriment of the team (eg Portsmouth dalliance)
Love him or loathe him, you have to concede the man knows how to get teams promoted

If he just cut out the totally unnecessary bullshit comments every single fucking time he joins a new club there'd be far less negative opinions of him among our fans. But no, it's always "best fans ever", "best group I've ever had" and so on. He's become a joke in this way, he simply craves and shamelessly chases popularity. His constant arse licking comments about Wednesday prove that.

Do you think that may simply be because his loyalty is with his present club rather than the one he was with 7 clubs and 10 years ago?

So loyalty requires the speaking of vacuous bullshit platitudes every time he joins a new club?

Got it.

Spot on.

Although I wouldn't even give him credit for promotion quite frankly.
He had a 6 year run at it, a luxury seldom afforded to most managers, and apart from almost derailing that, he made a catastrophic bollocks of things when he got there.
Unfortunately, his fanboys still cling to sepia-toned memories of a few "big days out" and tend to confuse it with actual tangible success. Very much like Nigel Clunts band of worshippers.

We're in a great place now with Chris Wilder. One of the few managerial figures in this club who has actually mattered in the past 20+ years.

He could say plenty of positive things about any of the clubs he's been at while stopping short of his favourite "best ever" comments, which are obviously bullshit because he's said it every time - even about the QPR fans.
