Warning to goal celebration pitch invaders

We appear to have attracted a number of fans this season who, for one reason or another, aren't content unless they're celebrating goals on the pitch.

Let this be a cautionary tale...



Obviously, it's completely over the top. But the authorities are perfectly within their rights to issue such punishments and it would be a shame to miss out on the coming season.

Sadly, I think that all the warnings in the world will do no good.
The following things are also banned in football stadiums
a) turning up pissed
b) snorting coke
c) taking in pyros
d) very wittily squirting brown sauce all over the concourse after removing an air-conditioning unit and terrifying concession stand staff.

What worries me more is one of our little scrotes getting on the pitch and when being confronted by an opposition player attacking him. Or even twatting the referee. I can almost smell the points deduction.

I can't see the need for anyone to encroach on the pitch at any time and by doing so spoil the celebrations for everyone else, including the players and staff.

And that includes the end of season shenanigens.

Anyone that gets a ban for such childish, selfish behaviour deserves all they get in my book.

Won't be a popular view with some folk but as usual they will be the vocal minority spoiling the day for everyone else.

The point is though that, regardless of how draconian the rules are, if you go on the pitch, you are not only risking a banning order or worse for yourself, you could also be potentially risking a penalty for the club and that's the last thing we need given our track record of unfortunate events....

So why would you?

It's certainly hit and miss whether some get done, and some don't. I've known people wander around the pitch for 30 seconds and not get arrested or banned, yet 2 seconds over the barrier and it's 2 years.

I'd be a hypocrite if I said I don't enjoy seeing a pitch invasion sometimes, but only when it's genuine hysteria at a crucial goal, not some chavs acting like tools.

FWIW I assumed it was an automatic ban for maybe 3 years anyway so I won't be risking encroaching

It gets worse....Reading and MK Dons, supporters reknowned for their trouble causing, were at it following their promotions. Fathers even put their sons on their shoulders and people took selfies. People were hugging strangers?! Sickening scenes and definitely NSFW.

So with it all being a conspiracy, not wanting to let us out of League 1. Someone ITK..... has told me that Fleetwood are sending a dozen blokes to sit on the front row of the kop, late in the second half they are going to run onto the pitch and attack the referee. Thus securing a 30 point deduction so they can finish second.

The rules are the same but if the game's over (and season's over) and promotion's secured then you can ask for a little leeway - if it's two twats in the middle of the game after a goal then I've no sympathy if they get carted off.

I wouldn't personally, I'm out of shape and have as much pace as Michael Higdon. I also think it'd be ill-advised for anyone to run that risk, especially if the penalty is incurred by the club.

I always assumed there was a loophole in the regs that permitted it in circumstances such as these.

Under section 12 paragraph b of the football celebrations act, anyone celebrating a Chris Porter goal is well within they're rights to advance 20 metres onto the pitch and perform a bellyflop as long as it's within 10 seconds of him scoring. Over 20 metres or after 10 seconds will result in death by stoning
