Could be one of many bitter Derby fans, Here's my choice from Ramspaceuk....

Sheffield United are really poor. They have an ace marksman in Sharp for sure but nothing else apart from team spirit, endeavour and great fans. Fair play to them, but for Derby to lose so meekly to a team like this I am sure was as worrying for GR as it was for us.

Great fans for sure. He got that one right.....wanker!

Ha ha I thought Billy couldn't do it in the Championship

I like this thread...wanker of the week.

Make this a regular feature.

As for the wanker who posted that remark....he perhaps didn't go to the game.
I didn't go, but my lad and brothers did. And they were very impressed with United.

We don't flower it up...if it's good we say it's good. If opposing teams are good, we admit it.
On their accounts we were very good, and Derby couldn't cope with us. So in that note the wanker above is either biased or just didn't watch the match.

derfblade. the wanker.

I've seen comments by pig fans mentioning the old cliche that we might beat them because

"Wilder will make sure they're up for it, they'll show more desire and outbattle us"

WRONG.......we'll show we have more quality and will pass them off the park.
Can't wait to play them, they could be in for a massive shock when they realise we are the better team and more entertaining.

I reckon they'll use the same excuse as the Barnsley and Derby fans saying it's one of their worse performances in months .

I've nothing against Derby fans, on the View From thread most were balanced opinions, with a couple of idiotic comments you get from fans at all clubs. My nomination is jointly Demarai Gray and Ahmed Musa. Gray for lying on the ground dying one moment, only to be running at full pelt the next minute. Musa for costing Leicester millions of pounds, despite seemingly being incapable of kicking a football properly.

Am I alone in my reading of the RamSpace comment ?

I thought it was pretty complimentary bar the notion that because we have just come up a league we cannot actually be skillful but that is a common misconception and long may it continue.

So he's not my wanker of the week at all - blimey, if you really get miffed by compliments like ......

They have an ace marksman in Sharp for sure but nothing else apart from team spirit, endeavour and great fans.

its a pity for you.

I had to laugh at the "Backed by a large and lively away support" part. I've rarely witnessed a poorer noise-to-numbers ratio actually. Barely a peep after conceding the first goal.

I generally have more time for Derby than many clubs but it looks like they're just as prone to having a "how dare they beat us" Bertie Big Bollocks attitude as others.

The silly bastard who wrote that article will do well to remember the old adage: "Blowing out my candle won't make yours any brighter".

Dare I say that some Blades fans have the same attitude? I have twice been at the Fleetwood away end listening to fuming fans moaning that we aren't thrashing this tinpot club.

I'll give it to the Derby fan walking down Bramall Lane after the game spouting about 2 shit teams who'll be relegated, and that we didn't score 3 goals but they gifted them to us...Well the goals were gifts, but we earned them and Derby were made to look poor ..definately wanker of the week.

You're right, I've heard similar things myself in recent seasons. It's an attitude that I detest to be honest. Nothing comes by divine right and fortune doesn't favour your club on the basis of "size". You get out there and bloody well earn it, otherwise you end up sounding like a Grunter.

Whoever wrote this sheepshaggerspaceuk report must be on crack. Never seen such a one sided game in all my days. Before kick off looking at the DCFC squad, I'd have been happy with a draw. But football isn't played on paper, is it? They can cry about gift goals all they want, but we earned them by pressing and pressuring their superstar footballers into those mistakes? Coutts (with his Rolls Royce impression)and Fleck absolutely took the piss in the middle of the park. Lavery and sharp tormented their defence. Blackman didn't have one shot to save, did he? Stevens missed an open goal tap in from a cross? Freeman, if he'd have squared it when he got round the back would have given someone an open net tap in, then Fleck missed a one on one with Evans lurking for another open goal tap in. If that had ended with us getting 4/5 goals, the sheepshaggers could not have complained? Lastly, If that's really poor, I'll gladly settle for really poor every week.

Lets not get ahead of ourselves, we've got to beat them yet

I was going to post something about the conversation I had with some Derby fans on the train back, rueful about their own performance and uniformly respectful and positive about ours. And a nice bunch of lads. But then I read that ramspace article which is a useful reminder that every club has some totally one-eyed nobbers amongst its support.

Tbf, if I was a Derby fan I'd be pissed off. They've spent huge amounts of money and got nowhere, a bit like our neighbours. On paper, that should have been a difficult workout but ultimately, a fairly routine win against a side that's just come up and is finding its feet. You should never underestimate team spirit and endeavour, without it, you're a bunch of show ponies. Or West Ham. They're just pony.

I bet I know which football club the wanker of the season will support

Although Those comments are rude and disrespectful there is a massive difference in club size between us and Fleetwood.
The difference between us and Derby is non existent
