Really don't understand this, when ever we talk about big support why do posters like yourself bring the pig mentality into it? We have a big following, we could sell Walsall out 3 times over, what's wrong with that???
We could sell out Walsall 3 times over ? I doubt it, there were 400 empty seats in our end yesterday. Our support was brilliant yesterday, lots of singing and getting behind the team but we are deluded if we think our support is anywhere near where it was in our championship days and above.
Money is tight for many and I'm sure there will be lots of part timers like me who come out of the woodwork as things get better but if we want to get our support back to where is was we need to get much better at arranging meet ups and shared transport. A few of us went to the Saxon King yesterday as proposed by several on here but no one else turned up. I leave enough clues on here for lifts and transport to sink a battleship but no one ever responds. I've never seen anyone offer a lift to others on this site in the past few months. As a fan base we could do much better and have some way to go.

Mrs Ken and I were in there - pre match - for a wine and a pint. But we drove down from Warwickshire. :)

I posted it in the shout box.
No fucker answered.

Well bartman did but he and their crew were somewhere else. Met them outside the ground though :)

That's the game I got chucked out of they just came steaming into us , although when I was getting my name and address taken the female office said that's a nice address , Partridge View on Skyedge ,
Yeah finished 4 a piece
Were you in the social club on the main rd through Walsall before the game. We were ambushed big time ,couple of glassings ,blood and snot everywhere ,then the coppers kept us in a big compound after. Nothing like that these days ,parking is the main problem now.

Just near ground industrial estate. Loads of street parking.

M6 toll ? Follow A38 and go passed lock filed nad follow signs to to Cannock . Then take the A461 to Walsall which takes you to the main road that runs top side of the Bescott

Yeah do this!!

Pity we missed you, we were the two ruffians on a floodlit table between just to the right of the bar and before the kiddies food area and bogs. When we're in a pub we don't do all that mobile phone and shoutbox stuff and prefer beer and footy chat with whoever's there and to go on things arranged beforehand. Life's too short to spend it lookin at a phone in my book.

The chap I was with yesterday had driven from the Evesham area and drives from there and picks up in the Warwick/Spa area and then on the A46 up to BDTBL maybe 6 to 10 times a season when there's sometimes more of us. Have done on and off for decades, probably a hundred times.

M1/M42 for me. To many bloody roundabouts on the A38*

*Unless you are planning on taking the A461 into Warsaw in which case probably A38...
Decisions decisions ! - that's two recent votes for M1/M42 following a few for the A38/M6 Toll. I have all week to ponder :)

Well, as recent threads will testify, you are not allowed to demonstrate the slightest enthusiasm about away support, attendances, beating the pigs next season, discussing promotion and any suggestion that clubs such as Rochdale and Scunthorpe are shit. To do so will incur the wrath of the doom merchants and the predictable "this being Sheffield United...." bollocks. They then compare you with the pigs in an attempt to make you feel really ashamed of yourself, as though you're a reincarnation of Fred West or something.

Fuck 'em, its a forum, say what you want and enjoy the ride between now and May. I will, I'll shout it loud and I don't give a fuck what anyone thinks about me.

I've fucked up my ticket purchasing.

Anyone planning on going in the home end, and if so, where's the best place to get near to our fans?

Only place Ive ever had the car vandalised. It was bloody cold driving home with no back sear window. Don't leave any clues you are a Blade in the car.

I've been to Walsall loads of times with work. Always go A38, never touch M6 Toll. Just follow mi Sat Nav.
Hope that helps :)

We took a mini van down , and meet up with another set of lads in another van , and parked up behind there end in some housing estate , as I said I got tossed out for nothing , apparently it was for swearing ,
anyroads back outside going back to mini van , one of my mates goes running past me being chased by 2 Walsall fans , it was coming on top , when one Walsall fan wound down his car window and said run Sheffield run , so I jogged over to his car and slapped him , bit of a bold boy back then ,
strolled into the darkness on into the mini van .
We stopped talking the mini van after that as it was becoming to much hassle , Stockport away in the FA cup , where we took nearly all 4 sides of the ground , was even worse for shenanigans

The community or 'St Francis Group Stand' will house a few blocks of Blades... So perhaps block C or D?
Block G in said stand for me.

I bought my ticket right at the start of the public sale so behind the goal appears to have completely gone before that.

Out of interest I checked to see how the land was lying on Thursday and there were still tickets available then, so it doesn't appear to be the case that lots of desperate punters were left high and dry.
