I’ve not seen any outlet say Wilder wants him. I’ve seen lots of fans say they want him.
Also Stoke are one of the consistent backed sides in the league. When it comes to wages they can comfortably outbid us, especially when we can only really offer a 2 or at most 3 year deal.
I still find it surprising that fans still believe we could out muscle Stoke on a single deal given how many we need to bring in.

There were people who weren't sold on Brewster, not saying the fans are right, but I'd be surprised if Johansson isn't a good keeper for the price, but more importantly a thousand times better than what we currently have.

I don’t think that statement is as a result of this board.

There was another report that said we’d sent scouts to watch him. Whether resulting from those scouting trips we decided he wasn’t right for us who knows? But I’m finding it difficult to believe we opted for Grbic over VJ? I’ve seen VJ a few times and there really is no comparison.

Perhaps VJ decided Stoke was his best option?
