People moaning about their style and long throws... er Jack Robinson anyone?
I was yearning for JLT yesterday, the difference would have been that their players probably wouldn't have kept kicking it out within throwing distance, our players didn't seem to grasp that this was a bad idea.

As I said “ not far off our strongest available side”
I doubt Foderingham would have saved any of those goals.
Ndiaye handed them their third !!
The third was hit straight down the middle of the goal and not hit hard. It went through Davies.

I’m not moaning and there’s no doubt their long throws are effective, the difference is that JLT isn’t playing regularly and when he does we don’t alway use his long throw. Wrexham had no other tactic, and from both sides.

I know Wales is a bit different from England but I was unaware that one of their local customs is to shout for a foul or a penalty every time one of the opposition gets within a yard of one of their players.

Only Villa and Wolves rival that lot for appealing for absolutely everything.

There third was the fault of Ndiaye pure and simple. Not only did he give it away cheaply so that they broke on us, he then decided to not track his man and left him completely unmarked to enable him to score. School bit stuff. As much as he is great going forward and our creative player, he needs to be reminded about defensive duties. If any other of our players had done that yesterday for example Jack Robinson, he would have been slaughtered on here for it. And rightly so. I'm sure Hecky would have had a word in Illys ear about it yesterday.

Everything you say there is true.

But that does not change the fact that the shot was hit in the middle of the goal, and not very hard, and it went through Davies.

There were four players round their two. Bash stopped their receiver. Egan got pulled in as second man, NDaiye was trying but failed to cover and Anel got the ball through his legs

Thanks Roy, really appreciate your work.
Must be tough going onto their chat after games like this

For the first, Davies flapped and palmed it straight back into the danger zone.
For the second, the ball came stright into Davies' 'zone', but there was no big shout. He half went for it and then pulled back (which is why it hit Sharp's arms).

There's an argument that Foderingham would have prevented all three.

They had three players attacking, we had four defending. Ndaiye tracked well at first and even got ahead of his man. Basham had the man with the ball, Egan was backing him up and Ahmedhodzic had the bloke on the other side. Ndiaye's job was to track the runner (their top scorer and main threat), but then he inexplicably decided to change direction and leave Mullins completely unmarked in the middle. Definitely his fault.

Hecky wouldn't need to. He was visibly gutted as the ball hit the back of the net and realised that was his fault. After the equaliser, Egan is seen with his arm around Ili and having a word... and has a nodding Ili seen listening to him. Clearly giving him some support after the mistake.

FFS sake just give us a bit of credit .Our two main defenders off 1-0 down in 7 mins and went toe too toe with you . We know that was our big chance and you SHOULD smash us in the replay . In case no one mentioned WE ARE NONE LEAGUE and made you look very ordinary.
None League? Only play friendlies?

Loads of goals are scored through the keeper’s legs. As the keeper comes out and spreads himself he is bound to have space between his feet. Just look at how many goals Billy has scored like this.

Not a very good argument bearing in mind it’s Foderingham !

Thanks Roy.

Some of their comments are through rose tinted specs, but I don't mind them having their day in the sun, they played well & we didn't, but I would love to smash 'em at home.

Probably Foderingham.
These non league teams are notoriously difficult to overcome (not making excuses).
Wrexham are not your average non league team anyway as the game showed.
We got a draw and no disgrace in that,we now have to finish the job.

It seems nobody wants a replay! No idea why they were reintroduced - teams already play more than enough games.

Get em on a decent pitch pass em out of the cup play our full team especially the keeper and send their sorry arses packing …oh and make the media cry

No argument from me, Wes would have stopped all 3, theirs an argument to say, so would Davies if her hadn’t had a stinker, he’s better that he was last night.

I feel like some of our fans are coming across a bit Billy-big-time this morning. Yes, on paper we SHOULD have smashed them out of sight, but we didn't. We can blame the pitch and the ref all we want, but on the night they out-fought us and clearly just wanted it more. If either team "deserved" a win it was Wrexham.

I hope the pitch, and a kick up the arse for our players, will make the difference in the replay, but we mustn't forget that they went and scored 4 while winning at Coventry, a team that have beaten us this season.

Thought we were generally terrible last night. Passing was wayward, defence looked ropey. By contrast, although I saw some saying that MotM was "decided before the game," Mullin was outstanding for them. Seemed to be given a free-roaming role and every time he ran at us 2nd half I was on edge. He's really made a name for himself there, and maybe if he was 4 or 5 years younger he'd be heading for a career at a higher level. I certainly think he'd score goals in a mid-table L1 side.

I think, assuming the club doesn't utterly shit the bed and sell him tomorrow, Ndiaye should start the replay. I know there's arguments about fitness and injuries, but he's a young lad in his prime, and he should be able to handle 1 extra game. I know he fucked up for their goal, but there were also a couple of times where he ran at them, and their defence was terrified of his pace and trickery.

Overall it was a woeful night at the office for us, but we're still in the hat, and if the club really is on its arse financially, then we should be hoping for a draw that would bring in a few quid, and if we get it, we should be playing our strongest side and looking to show Wrexham what a club at the top end of the Championship can really play like.

Outside the replay, good luck to 'em. I've watched their Disney+ doc, and I find it quite nice to see a millionaire foreign owner (or owners) that really seem to get into the spirit of it all, and connect with the club and community like they seem to have. That said, Reynolds and McElhenny's combined net worth is about $200m. That's not close to what's needed to thrive in the championship, or even to get there, unless the 2 are willing to bankrupt themselves for a small Welsh football team.
