FFS sake just give us a bit of credit .Our two main defenders off 1-0 down in 7 mins and went toe too toe with you . We know that was our big chance and you SHOULD smash us in the replay . In case no one mentioned WE ARE NONE LEAGUE and made you look very ordinary.
You played very well. Satisfied?

You pitch is still a disgrace though. And yes I heard you are non league. About a hundred times in fact from the BBC who couldn't have been more in love with you if they had tried.

So let's see how it goes on a pitch where you can play a bit of football. Will be interesting WON'T IT (thought I'd finish off with some capital letters as that seemingly adds more emphasis to the point made - apparently).

Thanks Panchero.

I couldn't watch that every week. Players playing for throw-ins and letting the ball run out, just so they can launch it from the throw. Fair play to them, they raised their game and we were blatantly off ours and they nearly won but to seriously claim any sort of parity is delusional beyond the pale.

Cheers Roygbiv 👍 appreciated as always pal👍UTB⚔️🔴⚪⚫

Think we got away with one tonight as we didn’t look at it, but at the same time the pitch really didn’t help for a passing game and the off field stuff might be affecting the players more than we think 🤔

Typical Phil Parkinson side. It's a very agricultural style that he always gets his sides to play. You have to be strong and head and clear all afternoon from balls being launched into the box. I get that some teams need to play that way to get the most out of their budget/players on the roster so no issue with Wrexham's tactics today but it's not easy on the eye and bearing in mind they have by far the biggest budget in the non league you would expect that they shouldn't need to adopt the same tactics in their league matches and would play a bit more football on the deck. Clearly Parky's vision of total football hasn't changed since his Bolton days.

At the end of the day it was a pretty classic cup tie on a terrible pitch. Why is their pitch so bad anyway... they had it relaid twice in the bit of the documentary I've seen!? Could see the ball bobbling/stopping constantly.

Minor point: We rested/sold players on the day.

“Should have won it though – clear penalty for me and an unfortunate miss from Dalby.”

that's some quote, Davies were shite but he didn't touch him.

Everything I thought the match would be as I said in the pre match view . They wanted it more ( credit to them ) as we’ve upset a few of the big boys in the past . From our own point of view we just didn’t look at it ( again ) gave the ball away for fun , no tempo & lacked bite .. cup match apart I’m concerned even though the results say different ?
Our last promotion season we were outplaying & dominating sides , since WC break we’ve been digging results out

I very much doubt that preparing a smooth and fast playing surface would have been their objective. I’d love to have seen the groundsman at work this week. Probably borrowed a herd of cattle to wander about on it for a few days!

Think the floodlights,or lack of light was a real leveller for them with them long throws landing in our box out of the dark !
More like a ww2 movie than a professional football match! 😀

I commented that they'd asked santa Claus for a penalty for Xmas and he's not delivered it..

That's all the game plan for them, OK up to league one then the refs smell you out..

Thought (hoped) they'd win, because its a dopey idea being in the cup. Another day at the freakshow that is Wrexham..

Sadly it was not far off our strongest available 11. Clearly Clarke would have made a difference, but who else ?

Foderingham wouldn’t have made three errors.
Clarke or Robinson starting would have avoided Basham’s howlers.
Lowe starting would mean we could attack on two sides, not one.
Ndiaye (best player outside the Premier League) starting would improve us.
Berge. Whether you like him or not, Premier League sides want him, and he would improve our starting XI.

Pegs? They don't want pegs in the replay? They clearly think some of us park our caravans on reservations at the edge of town and occasionally hold traffic up in town with our horse and traps when quite clearly some of us do not.

We look very ordinary every week tbf.

They are full of themselves aren't they. Let's see how they get on playing on football pitch rather then hurling more missiles than the British did at the Somme pre 1 July 1916 with a pitch looking in a similar state.
Let’s see if our players keep kicking the ball out for a throw all the time again, will be a similar outcome if we do. Every time they had a throw in our half they managed to pinch enough yards to make the box reachable, ref didn’t pull them up once.

Ball went out for a throw in to them near our corner flag, and the ref demanded he take the throw in level with the edge of the penalty area. Commentary team saying "he might prefer the angle from here you know"

We kept battling on but on balance of the game we were 2nd best.
Had we not got the equaliser in injury time couldn't have complained too much.

Although I'm still none the wiser for the sending off which of course changed the game at that point too. Felt we were pulled the finger out at that point.

For me our game plan was to counter them. But we were sacrificing possession and control of the game. Overall I felt we looked below average in our play.

Club could do with thinking about tickets for next match. Wrexham will sell out what we give em. And for us this isn't a big tie. So can see attendance being under 15k.

There's no counter-response to their comments Roy. They did make us look like a bang average National League side. We were that appalling. Also, to score three goals away from home on a cowfield and not come away winners says a lot.

The game at BDTBL needs to a be a decisive execution. They'll come well prepared and any half measures and shit performances will simply not be tolerated. None of this 'go a goal up and ride it out'.

Sort it out Blades.

Have a look at most of their squad it’s made up mostly of hardcore L1 players they ain’t a conference squad no mugs
to call them a non league club is at this moment true but only till May
they beat Coventry in the last round 4-3 away. not an easy thing to do
theyve spent more than wednesday on players, getting a ground upgrade and on the crest of a wave

its like no one on here has ever watched the FA cup before
matches like yesterday are par for the course

People moaning about their style and long throws... er Jack Robinson anyone?

we had a major stumbling block away against a team on the rise and got a result with 10 men
we are still there Arsenal and Liverpool are not

As I said “ not far off our strongest available side”
I doubt Foderingham would have saved any of those goals.
Ndiaye handed them their third !!

Clearly we’re a bit out of practise playing on beaches against long throw merchants
