First goal mistake from Carter Vickers, 2nd a slip from Vickers, 3rd poor goal. 4th and 5th I take the blame because I want us to go for it.

One of those nights. Never got close to controlling the game

We didn't shrink, we didn't play as well as we can do first half. Not at the same tempo and gave the ball away cheaply

Always thought there was something in the game. At the end the best footballing side in the division were booting it anywhere clinging on for dear life

In the past teams used to come here and say “Get through the first 10 minutes we will absolutely cruise the game” but when teams win here now they have to go through everything to get a result and the Fulham players are knackered tonight sat on the bus as were the Norwich players

The antics that go on (regarding the time-wasting and feigning injury) frustrates the life out of me. Their physio must sleep well tonight because he's been up and down

Fans gave us great backing

Leon was first class. Disappointing to lose the game by conceding 5 goals but we always look like scoring. The last 2 goals were my fault as we were playing 2 at the back. I believe our supporters would rather lose in the manner we did than what's happened in the past

Duffy lacked energy. A few off performances from 3 or 4. Thought Fleck was outstanding and O'Connell drive the game forward. Can't blame Blackman for any goal and obviously there's Leon

We didn't have the movement and quickness of tempo as we usually do. If we play a bit side to side then teams will sit in and hit us on the break

Thought Lundstram did ok. Passed the ball well and competed. He can be pleased with his performances and will get better when he gets into a rhythm

Expectaions levels go up because of the manner of our performances. I understand this league and if you give away poor goals, don't take your chances and don't play to the standards that gets your results then the game is in the balance and tonight the game was in the balance

This is such a big deal right now. People are starting to forget that we're miles ahead of where we were expected to be. Fulham might have had a poor start to the season but they showed tonight that they have some cracking players and so much ability in their team. If people were thinking we weren't going to have some poor results they were getting deluded. Focus on just how much good there is right now. Even in defeat we showed just how good a team we are.

Surprised Duffy got taken off, other than that once again CW spot on!

It's easier to get carried away as only a few sides have been better than us all season but whilst losing is always disappointing I hope we are able to take a step back and realise just how well we are doing.

At the start of the seain we were all happy to stay up this season and consolidate. Now we’re disappointed if we lose a game after scoring 5 goals and are 3rd in the table. Me and my two boys have season tickets and my eldest was poorly today so my other lad asked his mate (a wendy) to come to the game and he was cheering for us after he realised what we are about and throughly enjoyed what was a great game of football. Why are people whinging at us losing a game. Even Chelsea lose games. We have a great team so lets stay with them. Utb

Very strange game tonight, don’t think we deserved the win but also felt hard done to! 2 poor mistakes by Carter-Vickers for the first two goals

Thought he was poor tonight. May not have been fully his fault, in that he just couldn't really get on the ball.

Maybe, in hindsight, we'd have been better off having three in midfield against that sort of quality, rather than having Duffy sort of isolated & semi-up front.

And thought that Carruthers was pretty decent when he came on (in different positions too).

I'm not going to pretend I haven't been getting a bit carried away too. When the first goal went in I thought here we go again, another cruise to victory. But I have been saying all along that we're going to lose games this season and we are going to get caught out by the odd side like this. The important thing is, you're right, we've been the better team in most games we've played in.

I don’t think I’ve heard a wilder interview that I disagree with! Talks total sense and tells the game as almost everyone else see it.

Love how he takes the blame for their 4/5 goals - as we were pushing! It’s so rare for a manager to do that - you never hear them admit a mistake it tactical error (as if it weakens their position)

I hate to say anything critical about Chris Wilder as I love him to bits.
However, i think he got the substitutions wrong tonight and I wonder if on reflection he would come to the same conclusion.

The way I saw it, the game was finely poised at 2-3 with 58 minutes played.
At this point our normal substitution would be Brooks for either Sharp or Duffy.
A straight swap to give us extra flair, pace and energy but sticking to the same formation and system that has brought us so much success.
With 32+ minutes left on the clock I would have been highly confident in our ability to keep slowly ramping up the pressure and take at least one point, maybe three.

On this occasion he brought Brooks on for CCV and 2 minutes later Carruthers for Duffy.
This left us playing what seemed to be a completely alien 4-2-3-1 formation with several players shifted from their normal position.
The players seemed confused, the defence was suddenly all over the shop and looking vulnerable to every single attack and our attacking moves lacked their usual cohesion.

I just think that Chris went too gung-ho, too soon this time when it didn’t really seem necessary at that point.

Wilder will learn from this and improve us as a team like he did against norwich and QPR. This was always going to be a tough game.

CCV JW JoC JL ES and BS for me all had worse games than Duffy., who very nearly made it 2 nil with a fantastic mazy run into the box.
He also took a right leathering, from a cynical foul.
Really don't know what games some folks go to.
But it is all about opinions.

I thought Duffy was well below his best. Tufty thought so as well it seems.

CCV was having a shocker and Duffy wasn't feeling it either, so despite throwing up an unusual formation, the two least effective players were rightly withdrawn. I thought that Brooks and Carruthers opened things up more.

You can look at the fact the game was finely poised, but we were always going to be pressing in numbers and we were always going to be getting caught on the break by a side that finished well.

Question is, what different changes would you have made?

heh.. so what?.. :D
if it happens on a regular basis then i'm worried mate
Ha ha i was mocking the hysteria of some Blades last night. A game like that you have to take on face value. As you say, if it becomes a regular thing then fair enough, but it was a one goal deficit in a game we tried to win.
