If Wendy fans are excited about their team becoming the new “Bolton” then good luck with that one!

This. They've paid stellar money to produce a pale imitation of a Dave Bassett side (DB did it with no money).

Wednesday delusion has really hit new heights they seemed to watched a different match or major problem that sky broadcast the wrong derby. because despite parking the bus & coming for 0-0. We were camped in there half espically 2nd half (bar 51st & 88th min) Credit to my mum as she said it 1st. Cant see many games. Having to work sat & 30 mins in she said "Moore might as well brought his deckchair"

yet wednesday fans seem to think they were dominant. Espically these 2 people i know on facebook

Some bizarre reactions there. Can never swallow the bitter truth some of that lot. The truth being that THIS season their squad of superstars SHOULD have been aiming for a derby double. Many of them said as much before a ball was kicked this season, that the "older, bigger, better" Wednesday would take care of their little irrelevant neighbors from S2.

Nothing of the sort has happened, yet they are wearing last night's point as if it is some immense badge of honour. That is because, as we know, some Wednesday fans see their club as either MASSIVE or plucky underdogs depending on whichever description excuses their blushes best. Even their fucking "reserves" had a striker worth more than our entire starting eleven.

To put things bluntly, the derbies for them this season have been nothing short of a colossal let down, but none of them will ever tell you that.

They are hugely relieved they didn't lose by 2+. I can see why based on their previous results.

But switch sides and we'd have been pleased last night. The derby is a one off fixture though, it'll be interesting to see if they can get up for games where the crowd aren't intense

I for one hope they are right and it is their best result of the season. Then they can comfort themselves with the mighty point they got at BDTBL as they slowly sink into league 1 with that pale imitation of Boltonesque football!!!

Does anyone remember the Ashes of 05 when the Aussies celebrated escaping with a draw at Old Trafford ... ditto tonight lol That reserve team the pigs put out tonight what did they pay for those t***ers compared to the cost of our first XI?

Exactly the point I made last night.

They're the two off the Detectorists aren't they?

A point against The Dog and Duck is the performance of the season. Not only have they swapped manager but the entire set of fans. The first set were above considering the pub team as nothing more than relegation fodder and not close to their promotion certainties in any way.

A new level of delusion.

Spoke to a few decent wednesday fans in person this morning and they told say it was the best they have played this season. I think it's safe to say last night and the reactions afterwards proved beyond doing that we are the top dogs again. What a turnaround.

They're talking the usual bllcks. Spoke with the two reasonable pigs I know today. They were pleased with their application and effort and relieved they didn't lose. For them yesterdays performance pales into insignificance when compared to their 3-0 drubbing of Weeds and the very good away performance at Villa. These lads go home and away and are realists. You don't find many like that amongst those of the pig persuasion.

Just by way of balance the usual gob shites are peddling the fact it was their third not their second string that played us last night. Expect to see lots of cheap Ipswich looking kits paraded around the city over the coming days. Parking the bus fc have just avoided losing their cup final.
