I will grant them they might have edged it on looking more likely to score but the simple fact of the matter is they never even troubled Cooper. On the odd occasion they might have, the defence got in the way.

It's so very predictable, they're trying so hard to convince themselves they're a relevant side, so, let em ramble really. It feels a lot like they're more concerned about us getting promoted than we are.

Wasn't an amazing match but we still took the points and in the grand scheme of the season that's more important. I love winning the derby specially at the Lane, it's even better that it's put us joint top.

I don't mind admitting to thinking we'd school them. But on reflection, these games will always be tighter than a mouse's ear. We edged an uneventful match. But they never threatened, not really.

As much as the lazy, cliched parachute payment comments do irritate me a bit (and not just from Wendy), fans fail to acknowledge that to get parachute payments you have to have gotten promoted in the first place. Parachute payments did not get us promoted under Wilder the first time and we spent relatively f**k all the second time we went up in the promotion season. Wendy fans will s**t a brick when the takeover goes through. They'll have a field day making things up to suit their narrative of why they're still bigger and better than us. It's pitiful and hilarious.

Wendy got relegated in 2000. In the 24 years since then they've only finished in the Championship top 6 twice, and they're the only occassions that they've finished in the top 10.

In the same time period we've been promoted to the Premier League 3 times and have been to the play offs on a number of occassions as well as numerous top ten finishes.

Apparently we're still the inferior club living in their shadow, and we're jealous of them. 🤣

Sadly it's not just Wendy who think the way they do. Pundits and other fans all big up clubs based on what they did 20-30 years ago. It's why I prefer Derby to Forest, as their fans don't harp on about the good old days. Same with Ipswich. They won the UEFA cup but don't keep harping on about it like Florist fans do.

And we should very well have. I don't disagree that in theory we should have schooled them either. A derby however was always going to be different, had we walked off that bitch 5 goals up even us Blades would have been surprised despite it kind of being the right result. Wilder will have stressed the size and weight of the occasion so the players were certainly taking no risks.

Assume Danny did the same but instead of taking no risks they just decided to take no shots :)

"Could you imagine if we had the chance to go joint top and were playing the pigs at home? Hillsborough would be deafening “

No, I can't imagine that. Because, as you're baldy iconic midget says...."You're absolutely fucking honking, son."

Most of those comments were not far from the truth.
We were poor and generally not that much better than them.
Yet again we have struggled against a side that defends deep.
We look to me to be a good Championship squad, perhaps not quite the best but some way off a very good side and a long way off being ready for the PL.
Fortunately the youngsters that we have can all improve and we may find the second half of the season to be more positive and exciting.
To be where we are in the league is more a comment on the overall quality than ours, but you can only beat what is presented.

Bravo. An opus magnum.
Booker prize level 'View From'.

Looking forward to reading that again tomorrow.

Great work, Roy.

OMG what a set of deluded thick as shit fans. I've taught year seven kids with better logic than this shower.

Boxing Day was a contest between two evenly-matched teams;
45 years ago and they are STILL going on about it!

They’ve gone up and come down more times than I can count,
Yes we have. Which is more times than you've done. A lot more.

They gained nothing out of this game other than 3 pines”
Exactly. I thought that was what winning the game got you.3 Fucking points

To paraphrase the rocky film, they won but they did not beat us.
Er........what? We won. You lost. For the hard of thinking that means we won you lost. Meaning you got beat. Have you got it now?

Ok they scored & we didn’t but they weren’t better than us”
Actually, we were one goal better than you.

“For me, only Leeds have looked a class above us. Sunderland weren’t that great, it was our kamikaze play on the day.”

So if we'd beat them 4-0 it would have only been down to their kamikaze play, and anything less than that and they've somehow come out winning
Pork logic, absolutely deluded.

Our next game at the Swill will be much better suited to us, and this time I hope Wilder doesn't play the nicey, nicey were both respectful neighbours bollox and totally fucks them over like he did first time we met.

I could have predicted those reactions before the game.

The Boxing Day comments are just sad now. To put that in context, I vaguely remember it as my pig supporting Dad, even though he'd not been to Hillsborough since 1970, was dancing round the kitchen and I had no idea why until he told me.

A month later I went to my first ever Blades game.
I'm nearly 54 years old.

LMFAO. They're called deluded for a reason.

We are obliged to get performance related pay, based on our performces. Who knew?

They are stuck with Chansiri based on him having all that money, and not spending it? Really?

They will eventually end up back in the pub league, where they belong!
