Before Saturday, we were fifth favourites for the drop, ahead of Watford, Norwich, Newcastle and Villa, having started the season as favourites.
We’re now fourth favourites, but it’s Villa that have leapfrogged us, unsurprisingly after Saturday, not Newcastle. On 606 last night there were plenty of Geordies saying that a win was great, but it only papered over the cracks of Fatty Bruce’s incompetence. I hope they’re right.
