You make the mistake bypassblade of thinking that they're necessarily in it for the glory. But it's about status and a lot more money.

I'll see if I can get Gareth Bale to come on here and explain it.

Hey up Gordon I know full well they're in it for the money but just for once in my life I'd like to see a footballer do summat for fans. I know 98% of them don't give a tuppenny shit about the fans and it's money, money, money Zaha is a classic case of that with his little sojourn to Manchester. Like I say he'll not win league at Arsenal or Everton but, some stupid twats will pander to his demands and pay him a kings ransom, apparently Bale on 550k a week is that why he's got a big girls man bun wanker (him I mean). God give me the football of the 60's 70's and 80's, when men were men and sheep were careful especially in Derby.

Just seen this one that I'll throw into the mix too. The bloke is a Wesht Aaaamm fan tho, even so

Is he back off suicide watch after his misses ditched him yet... full kit cockney wanker.

Would be great to go back to 2015/16 and see what the fuckwits thought of Leicester’s chances of winning the title were ...... even at Xmas of that season.

Cheers Roy I loved reading that !

This....
Make no mistake, this team will relish the prospect of turning up and spoiling the party for anyone who underestimates them. (Chris Wilder’s) legendary status at Bramall Lane also helps in this regard with his job secure even in the event of relegation and the freedom attached to having nothing to lose will very much aid their approach. “

That’s the thing, CW is going nowhere and providing he gets the loyalty of the Board and the fans, I don’t give a flying f*ck about where we end up as long as he keeps his nerve and we play the way we did last season. We’ll have some fantastic games blitzing the shit out of teams who’ve never played against our style. So what if we get whipped on the counter by some, we’ll be a breath of fresh air compared to the likes of fucking Brighton packing their box and praying for a flukey deadball goal. And I still think we’ll stay up. My only problem is with the condescending shite we’ll have to endure from Shearer.......

I hope you're right but I don't completely share your optimism.

I'm certain that when we lose a few there will be moaning pillocks all around me on the top.

K'inell Wilder that dunt know wot tha's doing.

What's them fucking subs, he's lost the plot.

Why we so fucking deep, gerrit forrard

He's out of hisfucking depth etc etc.

Come what may I won't be one of em though.
Only the tourists

I've always taken the complaints about the media with a pinch of salt, I know they concentrate on the top half of the PL but I've also thought a lot of fans have a chip on their shoulder about media coverage. However, starting towards the end of last season and increasing dramatically in the last few weeks, I have been astonished at the lack of knowledge all these so-called experts and pundits have - worse than that, they have no feeling of shame opening their mouths and making comments on something they know absolutely nothing about.

So that we can have a little look at what various people who, should we meet them in the pub would make our excuses and leave, think we should know about the upcoming season I've assembled this short video.

Just a couple of minutes long, but if you do watch it.... at least take it to the end.

No prizes for the most popular phrase amongst these assembled fuckwits

I like a pundits opinion as much as the next guy, but I’ve read some fans getting themselves in a right state tonight over various comments made by Danny Mills etc. At the end of the day let the results do the talking.

I’d be surprised with wilder at the helm if we went down with a whimper, but you know what it might happen. Pundits are entitled to their opinion but I’m not sure about people berating them because it’s not what they want to hear! I’m looking forward to seeing what happens, and if we go down what a ride we’ve had

'Scuse my English, but fuck that was depressing. I'm pleased to say I know as much about those "pundits" as they do about us!

To the man who invented the internet: what the fuck have you done?

That video shows one of the reasons a tiny part of me was sad at leaving the championship behind. I didn't want to turn into one of these arrogant premier league obsessed morons that don't know a thing about any football outside the PL. Admittedly I didn't pay huge amounts of attention to League 1 after we were promoted but then I wasn't making youtube videos where I infer I know my arse from my elbow about the league.

Predicting us to be bottom isn't bad in and of itself, it's understandable but so often the reasoning is just piss poor.

"20th I've put...Sheffield United...I don't know much about them. They just seem a bit shit." FFS, have some self respect and put a bit of effort into something for once. Going to miss Benjamin Bloom talking about us now.

Yeah I saw that, he also said that we'd be direct. What a fucking numpty
You could tell as he was talking that he had no clue what to say, either. He's a poor pundit - if he can't speak with authority or glibly come out with something that sounds convincing, he should consider his career.

We weren't fancied to go up, we're not fancied to stay up. For those interested, 442 had us to finish in the last of the relegation spots but were quite complimentary. I'm not just saying this because I'm a Blade, but I genuinely think we'll stay up and how anyone has us to finish below Norwich is beyond me after they've spent very little and couldn't defend even in the Championship.

'
Take note, Southampton: THAT’s how you do a red-and-white striped home kit! Sheffield United may be destined to already be relegated by February with a points tally of 5 and goal difference of -123 – but at least they’re going to be dropping down in style.

SCORE: 6 '

Wankers.

Add this pillock to the list:-

“In the past nine seasons, every bottom- placed team except West Ham in 2010/11 has finished with a points tally of less than 33, many of which were better than this current United side.”

Based on seeing us play how many times exactly?

It's not the prediction I mind, it's the pretence behind it. As you say it's based on nothing.

I think we'll be in the relegation scrap all season too, though equally I don't buy into this high quality PL either. We could just as well finish 11th because although we could well be PL dross, so is half the league.

But going back to the point what is the rationale behind the assumption that we'll struggle due to lack of goals? At least compared with the other promoted sides.

Apart from Pukki nobody scored more than 10 for Norwich. Villa's leading scorer has departed to be replaced, as far as I can see with a player with an underwhelming Belgian League record (and I admit I have no fecking clue about the guy apart from that). Nobody else at Villa made double figures last season other than Abraham. Oh, and Billy scored more goals from open play than he did.

So I'll happily accept the point that our three strikers, who scored 60 between them last season, won't get many this season - I doubt any of them will even get double figures. But I'd like to know where in holy hell Norwich and Villa are going to get theirs?

Plus we had the best defence in the Championship only matched by Pulis who had to bore ever fecker to death in order achieve it.

Though the EFL might borrow the back to the Tuna time machine and back date it to tomorrow 😂

A lot of these have already been posted on here but I've gathered them into one place. Click on the author for the full article!

Enjoyable read. Doubly so when you realise a lot of the 'experts' actually aren't very expert at all!

It would appear unless your players are already well known they can't possibly have any quality 😆

Michael Owen has, maybe, 2 out of 3. Not bad for a short lad! He has Norwich and Bournemouth going down.

Why read shit from journalists who havent seen us play anywhere near as much as yourselves have, most hacks had villa above us ,only people who clearly don't know us could have done that.
Ignorance and lack of research are no excuse, I predicted Norwich bottom because they couldn't defend and villa because they got promoted with a team of loan players and needed alot of new faces which is difficult to do.
To most hacks squad value equals position in the table.
