A lot of these have already been posted on here but I've gathered them into one place. Click on the author for the full article!

Well at least there's no tired old cliches about 'northern grit' and 'being hard working'.

Sadly alot of this lot just seem to be a bunch of people who think football is won on paper and not on the pitch. The more you spend the better you do in their world. Hence why they seem to think Villa will do alright, ignoring the fact that Villa have spent a fortune replacing all the loan signings they had in the Championship and very little improving their squad.

“I don’t think it’s a difficult decision (to choose them for relegation), if you’re gonna have youre centre backs turning up in oppositions box in The Premier League you’re gonna get annihilated. I would say there are three managers who are in danger, I think the obvious one is Chris Wilder at Sheffield United.Teams that come up, as soon as they realise they’re in big trouble the first thing they do is change the manger.”

Steve Nicol, ESPN

Well that just shows how much he knows about us!!!!

Damn you Roy – I wouldn’t have even bothered scanning for previews and predictions if I’d known this was in the pipeline!

Also, thank you Roy.

Sheffield United enter this season as rank outsiders, achieving survival would guarantee Wilder’s place as Manager of the Year - back to back manager of the year.

When you are dragging in lads from South East Scandinavia you know you’re not preparing very well. - Östersund isn’t South East Scandinavia, you're confusing Finland with Sweden.

when you are resting your hopes on Lys Mousset, it’s relegation I’m afraid” - Oh that’s what we’re doing. News to us.

If you’re going to write, at least use going to instead of gonna. Ignorant peasant

Thanks Roy, but surely this is only part one?
There must be another 20 well known journo’s also position the same.

cheers Roy, really appreciate your posts
your excellent work knows no bounds !

Love this below and most of the comments

"Their squad is the least valuable in the Premier League"

yep thats right and one of the lowest in 'value' in La Liga last year and how did that work out !?

are most pundits all related to pig fans !? allot of these comments sound very pig like from2 years ago , as then we had "league 1 shite like Leon clarke and Billy etc " trying to scare us of all these amazing teams

yes some top teams in this league are very very good but plenty of the teams are average with the odd good/very good player and we will get turned over on occasions -which could happen against any of the other teams IF we have an off day - But again this was the same in La Liga

nothing to fear and cant f'####ing wait !

I think for a bit off fun before KO, any attending journos in the ground should be"introduced" to the crowd

With their comments up on the Big Screen

With a special welcome for Mr Samuels should he venture north ............. :)

Give Steve Nicol a beard and he's Frankie Boyle.

Considering he played in one of the best club sides I've seen, you'd hope he'd have a more considered opinion even if he does think we'll go down.

Stopped reading these predictions now. According to the experts, there is no point turning up and the PL is poorer for having us.
Well fuck 'em, I for one am just going to enjoy it.

I was convinced that Chops guy was going to have a man-bun. I'd have put money on it. Something about the awkward pop-culture references, shite attempt at humour and the attempt to look like he knows us by having a quick glance at our wikipedia page but not even bothering to scroll all the way down. Saudi owners indeed.

Me opening that link thinking: well I've kind of kept up with most of the media's predictions, probably nothing in here that can really surprise me at this poi---

If it wasn't for your thread I would never have found the Yahoo Sport prediction meaning only 2 on that list would have us to stay up

Oh my, thanks for collecting them together Roy.

I mean, even I think we will do well to stay up - even though I reckon there's at least 10 teams who really aren't much (any) better.

But that list just shows what a seemingly endless conveyor belt of complete twats get to express their opinions about football either on TV or in print.

You may as well just ask Bette Middler, George Clooney or Robert de Niro what they think about the President. These views are as diverse, and about as well-nuanced.
