Yes, worse than them.

Don't get me wrong, it pains me to say it. I grew up in Enfield. I was at school with Erik Throsvedt's daughter and played against Ossie Ardiles kid. My mums mate did Ossie and Gary Mabbut's ironing. I got my hair cut at the same place as Pat Jennings. The first two or three matches I ever went to were at White Hart Lane. I much prefer you lot to Arsenal.

But, for whatever its worth, your mob were mince tonight.

I thought they were having a minutes silence before the game and they never heard the refs whistle to end it.

I understand how sad it can look for fans who have just seen their team pumped to say "Well, we sang louder than you". But after being told we were going to get some old school cauldron, to get some very new school hob is a bit of a let down.

Ahh, I always wondered what you looked like Walthy. I guess now I know...

Sound is a strange one at WHL I was in 41 and thought our lot were decent but obviously not as good as the away support. Still was OK from my seat.
Next week should be a different kettle of fish.

Worse than Woolwich? OK if you say so.

Keep shouting kid. Eventually we'll hear a Spurs fan, we heard none all night long down there;).

It would seem from those comments a few cages were rattled by our performance....and fans singing.

No, it would seem that a few pig fans have 'infiltrated' the Spurs boards. (Nothing better to do, their interest in both cups ended months ago). Wendy are delusional fuckers, but even these stand out:

“Bramhall Lane a proper stadium? Hillsborough yes…..not Bramhall lane, shot ground and the Blades have a much higher than average ratio of pikey supporters making it a shit place to visit.”

Question Time. How many years since Spurs visited the 'Wembley of the North'? It's changed since the 90's. It's now a rust-covered, broken-down Meccano toy set in the most economically- and intelligence-deprive part of Sheffield.

“Only 2 teams worth mentioning in Sheffield.
Sheffield Wednesday, and Sheffield Wednesday reserves”

And a 'Spurs fan' would know this how? It's so long since the pigs were in the top flight, I doubt if they even know about Wendy.

I wonder if Doyle's shooting was part of our game plan. They now seem convinced we can't score without having seen McNulty, Baxter, Murphy or JCR have a clear chance.

I believe we'll score next week. Whether we can keep Spurs out or grab a second I'm not so sure. 2-1 Blades, Spurs through on away goals.

Oh dear, cliche ridden damnation. I expect us to survive this verbal onslaught, maybe a dab of rust remover here and there, but it's the ungracious tone that tells me we got up their nostrils, quite right too. To a man we were excellent, just missing more threat near goal, but nothing new in that revelation. Will be a tough game next week, should see Spurs put out a stronger team closer to their starting lineup. We played against a team valued at well over £80-100 million, so our bunch of 'misfits' were exceptional in their discipline and willingness to play rather than hoof.

No football club can choose it's fans or what they say.

We should realise that these fans may not all be from the "sophisticated South East" or, if they are, they lose their polish when they talk football after a humiliating 90 minutes even though McEveley played the "get out of jail" card for them.

Just because they support a famous and fantastic football club does not mean they have any class or understand football.

Mendonca - you have to appeciate those are the views of armchair fan many of whom have never been near WHL.

I thought there were plenty of sensible comments there as well.

Hey even we have some idiots, just go through the Ched Evans section of this forum and they are generally unearthed.

And the award for name dropper of 2015 goes to...........

if spurs fans think they can upset us by mentioning wednesday we will keep posting Arsenal holding up the FA cup

and dont come up here setting fire to our shops and looting the electrical stores , just stay local with that caper

Seriously poor support from the Spurs lot tonight. Arsenal made more noise than that.

I was watching it here in Frankfurt with a few of my German mates, they were extremely shocked at how one of England's 'biggest' sides produced such little noise.

All this digging out of Spurs is funny.
I will keep my powder dry until next week after we have been to the Galatasary of the North.

In fairness a mate of mine in the home end said you lot were "subdued" and attributed it to "nerves". I haven't got an answer back yet to my question "Why were a Premier League team playing at home nervous about playing a League One side?"

I could give my opinion on why we were not up for it but it would only sound like I was making excuses.

The main one being that Spurs have far more to lose than United over the tie which can lead to nerves. But then most of the players will have played in far bigger ties and more tense matches so the only "excuse" would be that United were good enough to make Spurs look poor :)

Personally I love games against lower league sides but a lot of our JCLs have a warped sense of entitlement and think we should roll over a League 1 side and hence can't get excited about them.
To brand our support shit on the basis of one game is nothing more than a sweeping generalisation.

Spurs were quiet last night but, generally, I think that WHL can be one of the better atmosphere's in England.

Bramall Lane, Anfield (and dare I say it).... Hillsborough are grounds that stick out as being able to generate unbelievable noise when they're in full voice. Must be a large kop thing.
