We played well in patches but couldnt take advantage.

In fairness they controlled parts of the second half and show they had one or two better technical players.

That's one element we maybe lack at this level. We couldnt get the ball off a couple of their players at times.

End of the day though we made mistakes that ultimately cost us.

So far it is clear that we can compete at this level, and with slightly different luck could have had anything between 3 and 8 points by now. Other clubs' fans have been quite complimentary. I am sure that Wilder/Knill will be trying to add that little extra confidence and know-how to make sure that we improve the points return. Nobody wants to go down with praise ringing in our ears...

Wouldn’t disagree Dav. I thought their no. 19 and the goal scorer looked useful and made me nervous when they were on the ball in the final third. We’re having to work hard for our goals. I was hoping we’d perhaps have seen a bit more from Morrison by now to give us that unpredictable ‘goal out of nowhere’ threat that we’re lacking. With Norwood , Fleck and Lunny starting there is not much of a goal threat from midfield and it puts all the onus on the front two. Oh well, I’m not too disheartened. On to the next one.

I’d be more concerned if we weren’t creating chances , still early in the season And s lot of points to play for
