Quick off the mark today Roy! Nice jobbie.
I didn’t think Reading looked too bad, but for once Utd defended really well and didn’t give them much of a sniff at goal.
Got a slight tingly feeling in my nether regions that we’re finally moving in the right direction again…

Lovely comments about Fleck

It certainly didn’t look good wishing him a full recovery

Thanks Roy

Thanks Roy. Puts things into some perspective (at least for a bit, people have short memories and the next bad performance may cause the good intentions to disappear, don't exclude myself from that). John is a human being with feelings, family and friends, which is much more important than being a footballer, good, bad or indifferent. We'd all do well to remember that when we're on the cusp of the next rant.

I thought their fans were excellent in how they applauded John Fleck. Thoughts are with him.

The comment "Dull and Solid" struck a chord. It didn't feel that Solid especially when Carroll came on, but it was certainly dull. Mind you, it's been dull for about 18 months so not sure why I'm surprised.

John Fleck has been an absolute legend over several years. Great video covering some of his highlights but prior to the goals against Arsenal and Man U.

Another example of how 5 at the back is our go to formation with this squad. If we;d played this way all season we;d be 10 and just outside the play offs. What happens after Jan is another story and Slav will have a better case case if he gets us top half by Jan 1st

Love to hear this
They spent at least a minute in the first half saying “sideways, sideways, backwards, sideways, backwards” about us.

Had a 2 minute conversation about bake off and how it was probably more interesting than the match.

At the end were on about how long it would take Reading to score, it started at ‘all night’ then was soon at “this time next year maybe”.

At one point one said “I wouldn’t want to watch Sheffield United every week”.

Then about the flare our fans let off:

Main Comm: “I can smell the flare, you love that smell don’t you?”

Co-comm: “aye it’s a good smell”

Main comm: “I bet it reminds you of growing up in the North East doesn’t it?”

Pure Partridge

Cheers Panchero!

Thoughts are with Flecky, hope all is well (or as well as it can be)

Had to laugh at them admiring how we play it out from the back! 😄

Did you hear them at the beginning saying that Norwood was the best player they'd had at Reading in the modern era? 😁

Highlight for me was the Reading player who lost control and ended up haphazardly dribbling out of play while trying to get the ball back under control. Commentator says "He had more touches there than he had in the first half..." 🤣🤣🤣

I could definitely listen to them every week. Made the match bearable.

‘The team looks absolutely clueless. It’s pass pass pass trick hope something might miraculously just happen for us.
At least it was just amusingly dire.”

Sounds like the majority of our games this season! Another piss poor championship team.
In years gone by, I used to think the championship was really strong. On the evidence so far, it is not a good league at all.
More importantly- All the very best to John Fleck and massive kudos to the Reading fans.

Glad it wasnt just me that didnt rate Swift then ,Norwood is a far better player.

Up to this season I would possibly have agreed with you, but swift’s recent goal and assist contribution is I believe light years better than Norwood. That flash of skill where he beat his man / men and switched possession to the near side was wonderful.
norwood could play the pass but never beat his man in the manner Swift did.
unfortunately Norwood is getting worse and Swift getting better after his long periods of injury, think you would get much more for Swift if you were to put them both on the market with equal contract situations etc.

Thanks weirdo and a bigger thanks to the reading fans who showed concern for Flecky, keep up the good work

Nice one Roy👍
Hope Fleck is on the road to recovery and it wasnt as serious as it looked🤞
