It was, but in fairness they made some more noise than other visitors have, especially with their size of club. As above 'Ole' , copying us when they had the ball was funny.

On the atmosphere: it was very flat. It was also, I think, our lowest attendance of the season(?). But that’s hardly surprising when we have two home games in 4 days, and this was the less exciting one. Lots of people will have skipped last night to come on Friday instead.

Cold Tuesday night against Oxford to add but it was plunder the atmosphere.

The entire evening felt like an early round cup game.

Sometimes you have to just admit the better team won, and having humility in defeat is rare these days.

Being on the other side of the quality gap last season gives us fans the context of what that feels like. Oxford though aren’t completely out of their depth in this league, so there’s hope, where for us survival was never on the cards.

Atmosphere did seem a bit flat, however very controlled win. Credit to them they went till the end but we had an eye on Fridays game for sure which should be a cracker.

Their fans were excellent in defeat. Singing were sh!t and we know it, we lost the we lost the ball and if Oxford score were on the pitch. They even gave their old player the Starman running down the right.

which turned into

when Souza inevitably took it back off ‘em.

And did I hear a “There’s only one Georgie Baldock” chant from them early on?

Fair comments from them all there Roy & I hope they enjoy their season in the Championship. Sadly, I can’t see ‘em staying up.

Towards the end, when they managed to string four or five consecutive passes, their fans did the funny/sarcastic "Ole!" after each pass.

They actually seemed half decent, as a team, I am sure they won't be in the bottom three come the end of the season.

Fair assessment, I thought they made a good fist of it myself, yes we were miles better, but they didn't give up and had a lot of spirit.

Just maybe if we do pull it off this season, we should remember how the Oxford fans are dealing with the huge difference in quality after being promoted.
Rather than scapegoating all our players and giving them dog's abuse like many of us did last time..
If we get back up let's keep our dignity and support the team through thick or more likely thin.
