Last comment is interesting, I had their commentary on and they were constantly on about how quiet it was. In fairness to them one of the commentators said that it was the equivalent in importance to us as when they were in League 2 playing a nothing game.

But we were winning to go top of the league - surely that's worth a bit more noise ?
Those grunters would be bouncing !

Bar the vinny Jones comment I can't eat lettuce warm.
Class fans.

It’s like when we go and play Man City and people say they’re quiet, they probably beat us and went or stayed top but it’s hardly anything to get excited about. If it was last game of the season to go top it would be different.

The atmosphere at BDTBL is so up and down, shit ref and a shithouse oppo player/manager is the main kicker for a good bit of noise.

Comes down to expectation levels,
A team doing better than it should be will always be backed more noisily

Ask City fans about an atmosphere, a quite noisy and fervent bunch in days gone by, but now they just expect to win everything and started booing after three successive defeats.
Six successive defeats has left them unable to even boo

Cant argue with the comments. Watching from home, it was as comfortable as it can get.

Just hope now we start against Sunderland with the same oressing intensity as we did last night and we'll have the game won by HT again.

We're a very good team this year and strangle the life out of the opposition most weeks. Consistency is the key.

It's normal for us to be at the top end of the Champ, and against (without trying to be offensive) a league one outfit. Routine win, move on to the bext game.

Friday will be different. Two teams at the top thrashing it out.

As for the other lot. Of course they'd be bouncing. They have been top of the league in this division for going on 30/40 years.

The game reminded me of a game v Sunderland maybe 5 years ago. Subdued atmosphere due to us being so much better, it felt like a training session. Think we won that 3-0 in 2nd gear too

I appreciated their chant of
“We’ve got the ball, we’ve got the ball”
which turned into
“We’ve lost the ball, we’ve lost the ball”
when Souza inevitably took it back off ‘em.

And did I hear a “There’s only one Georgie Baldock” chant from them early on?

Fair comments from them all there Roy & I hope they enjoy their season in the Championship. Sadly, I can’t see ‘em staying up.

On the atmosphere: it was very flat. It was also, I think, our lowest attendance of the season(?). But that’s hardly surprising when we have two home games in 4 days, and this was the less exciting one. Lots of people will have skipped last night to come on Friday instead.

Not too sure but I think they was top of the league after first game this season? If I remember rightly think they won the title back in August.
