“Rich owners. They aren’t planning with Prudence.”

“Sheff Utd and Villa have very rich owners, more £ than Delia. Fact is we are self funded until there is concrete offer to buy the club, of which there hasn’t been.”

Who the hell is this rich owner and when did he buy Sheff U from the Prince?

“One of my least favourite grounds after the three of us were offered a fight outside the stadium after we beat them a couple of seasons ago. Yes I’m sure a couple in their ‘50s with their autistic son would be up for some mindless violence… Bizarre!”

we are still the kidney punching bastards of old!! 🤠
A couple of seasons ago? But they only mention it now?

Norwich City calling us a bland club!! And accusing us of time wasting. What a strange world we live in!
That’s why Steve Coogan first thought of Norwich as a location for the bland, beige, foot in mouth persona of Alan Partrige

Some proper negative stereotyping going on from some on here about Norwich. If you read through the “Sheffield United” thread on the Pink’un there are a couple of nutters but the vast majority of comments are disagreeing with the loonies and are complementary about us.

That's good to hear. Overall I quite like Norwich City, much prefer them to Ipswich, but that goes back to Tarrico who I couldn't stand for the way he played. Ironically Norwich have now adopted similar tactics but I still think they've done really well with limited money, but that's their fault for not spending a few more quid. I mean, they only spent about £2m last summer! They rely too much on Pukki up there on his own.

I'm sure they'll bounce back tbf if they keep the squad together, but that's a big if;, that seems to be the strategy to be ok with going down and then bounce back again.

Ahh, good call about the obnoxious Argie, BUT going back even further (and I'm thinking Nov '74 because I took a "mock" O'Level in the morning and bunked off in the afternoon), a freezing cold journey home from Norfolk when they smashed the coach window after a League Cup replay (lost 2-1) means I've detested their supporters for nearly 50 years!

It may have been explained elsewhere, but the fact that the Norwich Board spent hardly any of their Prem windfall will have gone a long way to explaining why they're soon to return to the Championship. Whatever their reasoning for acting so miserly, why is anyone surprised about their predicament? More to the point, why does anyone, apart from a Norwich diehard, care? They made their bed and presumably they understand the consequence of acting so strangely. I wonder what the Norwich supporters think? Surely they must have assumed that new recruitment was on the cards? Surely the bulk of their fan-base must have drawn up their own wish-list of players they'd like to bring in? But here they are, they bought their ticket for a quick return, and they've been true to their word and haven't disappointed themselves.

You have to ask, having achieved promotion, why did they show little or no desire to remain in the Premier Division? Maybe this is the Norwich way, and maybe it helps to explain why they have to sell their better players.

Not surprised you're not keen Grecian! That's one thing that I'd not normally associate with Norwich fans, but the 70's from what I understand from watching various programmes on the football then, was a tough time to support your team, particularly away. But there was none of the cheating pn the pitch you get now every week - Leeds apart maybe ;-)!

I've only witnessed trouble a few times, the worst was against Man U back in about 93, I recall a copper being dragged along with a car on Shoreham Street, his hand trapped in the window of the car. That stuck in my mind, but I digress.

Norwich seem to be a fairly moaning bunch these days. I much prefer the likes of Burnley, Portsmouth, Sunderland - proper clubs in my view.

TalkNorwichCity seem to have produced no content at all on their YouTube channel. Coronavirus must destroyed their memory of the match.

This is the channel that have done fan interviews in the past which lead to a few of them chatting shit over the years.
