One of them has seen way worse than what they did at our place? I was astounded that a team managed to top MK Dons of 2014 with fouling, diving, time wasting and cheating. Can’t imagine what he would have seen worse than Norwich at the Lane this season, maybe a whole XI playing dead for 90 minutes?

Any one fancy organising a coach to go and see Bolton v Norwich, surely unmissable?

There's fuck all else to do over there unless you are going to clean barnacles off the bottome of your boat.
One league team for miles around - not 6 like in our region.
Their nearest rivals are 45 miles away.

In comparison, a 45 mile radius around Bramall Lane includes; Pigs, Rotherham, Barnsley, Doncaster Rovers, Chesterfield, Derby, Notts County, Forest, Burton, Stoke City, Port Vale, Crewe, Manchester United, Man City, Bolton, Bury, Rochdale, Oldham, Huddersfield, Bradford, Leeds, Lincoln City, Mansfield & Scunthorpe. There's a few other fairly big names, just outside the radius too, such as Leicester, Hull & Wigan.

Ha ha. Suck it up!

What they fail to note in the press before and after is that while this victory was deserved, we were also the better side in the last game too.

Great reading!

And this goes to the heart of it. In our immediate area (what used to be called 'The Hallam Big Six' - probably the most success-deprived football area on the planet) we have local papers (for local people), a radio station and the nearest rival fan - like a rat - is never more than ten yards away. Lose to a rival, and their fans will take the piss for weeks (or, in the case of Wednesday, 40 years). It's relentless. Even rival fans who don't actually go to games will pontificate as if they're Pep Guardiola (again, see Wednesday).

Norwich, on the other hand, is stuck in an outpost. The 'bragging rights' are confined to the rare meetings with equally-insignificant Ipswich. Naturally - when deprived of contact with other (normal) people, madness and in-breeding occur. In East Angular, it's easy to forget that there's a whole world out there and a visit by a team like the Blades is an event unsurpassed in size apart from maybe when the local gyppos descend for a crime-fest disguised as a 'fun fair'.

An unknown football manager such as German Farke is seen as exotic and interesting, (again, see Wednesday) but it won't last. Despite not having the day-to-day pressure of being a manager in an intense football area, Norwich managers still manage to create a culture of mediocrity. Farke will soon become the latest escape goat.

So whine about the opposition when you (often) lose and let your 'celebrity' fans (although it's hard to imagine a bigger bunch of cunts than Delia, Ed Balls and Stephen Fry) drift away as the spotlight fast-fades on the distant memory of the PL. The Blades will keep battling because it's what we do. For our next game, we'll be 'on it'.

Like a tramp on a greasy chip butty. :D

And to prove my point...

So in The Star article about Wilder and The Blades' win at Norwich, a pig fan manages to put his dick down long enough to post that shite.

He's obviously delusional. He claims Hallam is a 'University' when it's no more than a polytechnic.

He works at Hallam Uni? He'd better fucking crack on then, must be some toilets need cleaning.

Sounds very patronising to me, but hey ho, I'm a fickle Unitedite. :)

Really? I read it as a touch of frustration that Norwich don’t spend more effort looking a at league one. Just because a player plays in League one doesn’t mean his ability is restricted to league one. That’s what I take from the use of “” anyway

If they keep Daniel for much longer, they shall be well and truly Farked.
Moved to Norfolk last March and heard their fans talking in various places.
They have a great passion for the club but are so deluded as to their status
they are deffo first cousins with the porkers.

Taking them comments, & the blogs, & their reporters as a representative example, Norwich fans do really seem to be rapidly disappearing up their own arsehole these days.

So, yes, Wilder celebrated with with aplomb afterwards, & yes, we had a bit of fun at their expense & revenge was sweet. But do they really believe that they're the centre of our universe? Is it so hard to believe that Chrissy doesn't celebrate after every win, or that he hasn't reacted "classlessly" (their words) to other sides we've lost against?

Very piglike in their extolling the classiness of their dull manager who's rapidly sucking them down the plughole while they clap along classily.

Aye, German (& Dutch) managers are very, very fashionable these days, but for every German Chris Wilder there's fifty German Nigel Adkinses. Just as is the case with English managers.

I'm glad another local bod has noticed that personality trait! That lot aside, hope you like it in these parts

It doesn't really matter when you're cleaning the toilets

Really love it here.
One lady I now know goes to all the Norwich home games and is a proper fan.
She has been to the lane several times and gobsmacked me with her knowledge of football in general but also about the blades!
Like most clubs, there is some "proper fans" and the usual knuckle draggers.

interesting thing is that the world likes British football because in the main it isn’t negative
..
so all these clubs bring in German and Italian managers and surprise surprise it suddenly goes more negative and we’ve suddenly got diving, cheating and gamesmanship on an epic scale.. in the end we’ll be no different from the continentals and noone in India will be interested anymore

Hmmm, had to skip through some of that, some bits interesting, nice to see the crowd when our goals went in. All in all, if I was to spend the day with him, I would end up twatting him.

He has done rather a lot of away days including abroad. He could do better filming them and reviewing them though plus interview more fans.

I think that applies with anyone from Leeds.

I know it says he's "from Leeds" and he's a Leeds fan, but he says he lives in Norwich and has an unmistakeable Norfolk accent and has a manner that reminds me of someone I used to know from Norfolk, a mix of effiminate, immature, bubbly, public schoolboy and overly cheerful. Or, to summarise, smackable.

Edit: he could also do with getting his crappy fringe cut, then he wouldn't feel the need to push it out the way every two minutes.

Good club Norwich, well supported. Only been there once and thought it was a nice place.

Perhaps he's watched an Italian League game where all ten of the teams outfield players threw themselves on the floor and rolled round as if poleaxed ...... as the goalkeeper was busy wasting time in the 5th minute of the first half ......... o_O

What I don't get is your level of abuse for another club, another part of the country. Every post on this and other strings refer to 'piss licking cunts' , inbred, etc. It's a fact in the Uk, across the country that 60% of people live their entire lives within 40 miles of where they are born so just as much chance as inbreeding in Yorkshire as elsewhere. Without other clubs there wouldn't be a game. You won the game on Saturday fairly and squarely, we won at your place earlier in thE season. That's football. You're higher than us in the league but probably not good enough to go up and so we'll be playing again next season. It's rare for a cob to go from League One to the premier league in successive seasons. We did it a few years ago as I think did Southampton. Wouldn't it be better if fans could go to a game without ending up in hospital, and then off work losing pay. Both teams have decent fans in the main and a few idiots that spoil it for the majority. I expect he latter will refer to this post. Oh and btw I remember when Norwich signed Trevor Hockey from your club back in the day so remmeber English football from well before the Premier league 'invented it'. Best of luck f or the rest of the season.

I take it you didn't attend the game this season at Bramall Lane, and saw at first hand the disgraceful antics of Maddison and Gunn, that's why our victory last Saturday was so sweet.
