About 30 years ago I lived in Leicester on and off for a couple of years as a"semi-mature" student (not sure mature students exist). I've never been anywhere more "beige" or boring. It's not unpleasant, just soulless. I remember describing it as"nice" in a not very complimentary way. I've also lived in Coventry, and at the risk of upsetting a few people on here found it a better experience because Coventry (the city, not the football club) has, or had, some soul, something which Sheffield has in buckets, and which Leicester utterly lacks. The nice plastic stadium and nice plastic clappers suit Leicester really well. Even the cheese is f***in bland and boring. This post has taken forever 'cos I keep nodding off thinking about Leicester.......zzzzzzzzzzz
