My italian mate, inter fan said this

Fortunately had only a strong bruise.. Was Dalbert Left lateral. We are unlucky. It's the player n. 5 injured in this pre-season. Nainggolan (come from Roma), Karamoh and 2 young player. I saw you new keeper , 21 years old. seems OK

This is the 2nd match. Are still in vacation Brozovich, Perisic, (Both Croatians) Vecino (Uruguay) . I think Lautaro martinez (n.10) will be a good surprise and of course Icardi (Real Madrid trying for him)

My view:

Thought inter were playing in 1st gear for most of the game, nice, confident passing and lots of possession when they wanted to step it up, their goal was well worked. However, i didn't see the flair players, the game changers that you'd expect from a top side. Thought they were solid at the back, though Holmes, Duffy and Sharp upset them a bit with good movement

The young blond lad, Emmers for Inter liked to put a tackle in and i thought that Inter were very clever in the way they played. Lots of tackles and fouls to put us off our stride when we were in possession.

I don't think they troubled us too much at the back, but the save from Henderson will give him plenty of confidence.

Fleck was excellent and i thought that the more advanced role, just before Duffy came on suited him. Lundstram wasn't great in possession but good in the tackle. Evans was trying to play the ball, but he does need to work on his passes.

Basham proved that he's probably the first name on the team sheet, strong tackles, looked to get forward and looks fitter than many already.

Egan and McGoldrick both looked solid signings and if McGoldrick can get leaner and fitter then he will be a cracking addition up front.

As mentioned, Duffy, Holmes and Sharp provided an entirely different front line and this looks like a good option, against many sides last season we struggled if they restricted Leon and Billy, but adding some better movement and creativity with these three opened Inter up and Billy's effort was a cracking chance, he probably could've taken it on further and given himself a better chance.

The black & blue bastards can say what they like, but our last season’s average would’ve put us 7th in the italian attendance figures, and last nights alone would’ve put us 11th. Pub team, indeed! Hmmmph.
