Apart from getting promoted in 1971 when they just missed out, what have we done to upset them so much? It's not like they're exactly rivals (in any sense). However, Hull types do seem to have long memories and bear grudges. I've got a mate from Hull (he's ok, non-football, oval ball lad, lived in Sheffield for 35 years), who hasn't yet forgiven Iceland (country, not food emporium!) for the 1970's Cod Wars!

Thanks Roygbiv . I live in East Yorkshire, when I moved here in 99 you never saw a dull City shirt. They were all Leeds and Liverpool fans who talked about how shit Hull City were. All that changed when they got a shiny new stadium and promotion. All of a sudden it was "home town club".

Plastic wankers. They are a strange breed anyway and the chip out of their shoulder translates into a bitterness about other clubs. 104 years of being rubbish, a few years in the sun and they think they can Lord it over us. Hope they slide back to the 4th division where they belong.

We saw them crying on Wembley Way when they fucked up a cup final from 2nil. Tossers!
