Being at the game I didn't realise what had happened regards George for their goal.

Having seen it back after getting home I agree we got lucky.

That said I think some of those comments are laughable.

Disallowed goal aside, i thought a draw was a fair result over 90 minutes.

Fair result I suppose we had the better chances minus their disallowed goal glad we got something as I thought they stole 3 points at BL in reverse fixture. Positive for us we wasn’t at our best and kept a clean sheet gained a point with games in hand on teams around us and we didn’t have our strongest 11. UTB.

No mention of the post saving them or the clear off their goal line no mention about Billy being held back by their last man early on and Billy being judged offside saved them for a sending off. (I’m not sure Billy was off)
I expect Town to slowly drift down the table their attack is like a gun without bullets

Thanks Roy

I thought this. They only showed one replay on Sky and didn’t bother discussing it at half time but there were two of their players who looked to me to be at worst level with Sharp when he got pulled down. From that offside they ran down the pitch to win the corner for the disallowed goal.

I don't get why everyone seems to think the disallowed goal should have been given

It was correctly chalked off

It was either a penalty or it was not a penalty, and once it was decided that it wasn't, the player was offside and interfering with play.

He actually prevented Foderingham from being able to make a save.

A referee cannot think "Maybe it was a penalty, but I'm not sure, oh to hell with it, let's give a goal, because maybe they deserve one"

It's either a penalty or a free kick for offside. As he didn't give a penalty then it's got to be offside as he's interfering with Wes - no matter how he got there.

EDIT: JJBlade oops, didn't see your post saying the same thing!

Thanks Roy.

Have to agree the ref was rubbish, but nothing new there. We were a bit off it today but only the balance of chances we could have won it & other than George's pull I don't think we were stretched, so a point each is about fair really.

Poor supporters blame the referee. Nuf said, could have gone ether way, disappointed, we move on and look for better on Tuesday. UTB.

Thank you Roy.🤤

As regards their penalty shouts I wish i was as strong as Baldock and could pull a grown bloke onto the deck with my left arm fuck me he went down faster than a whores knickers. Once he was laid in front of the goal line he was offside without the ball hitting him on the arse on it's way in or him impeding Wes. The next penalty shout looked to me like their player purposely run into the tackle as the ball got away from him. Not so sure about the ref favouring us McBurnie got booked when going for a header because his arm went across a players upper chest and brushed his face yet on another challenge McBurnie takes a elbow in the head and nothing is said to the Huddersfield player. Early in the game the ref gave them everything after 20mins I was thinking this ref is a homer.
A bit surprised they thought they played really well, shows we have nothing to fear in this division as we were well below par Huddersfield have not seen the real Sheffield United in both games this season.

With VAR then they may have had a penalty but with VAR they would have probably had a man sent off for impeding Sharp when he was through on goal.

Overall a draw was a fair result.

I watched the match from the boxes, their player should have been booked for a blatant dive and no way a penalty, and their man should have walked for bringing Billy down , he wasn’t offside and the Lino raising his flag (wrongly) let the Ref off having to make a decision which to be fair he had made some awful decisions favouring Huddersfield. Highlights may show different but from my view Billy was through and a deffo cheating dive.

“Baldock is an absolute shithouse. Fast becoming my most disliked player from a Sheffield-based team”
Jud must be gutted to learn he’s not (even) the biggest shithouse in Sheffield”

Shoulder charge second half another one for the scrapbook - their lad was still rubbing his arm / shoulder 10 minutes later

Thanks roy...
For some weird reason, I started reading your post in Joe Lycett's(think Julian Clary but funny) voice in my head...
Can't stop giggling!
“The quality of football especially from Town was for one of the few times this season worthy of our lofty position and on the majority of days given more fair and capable officials we would be taking 3 points off everyone in this league”

“Excellent performance.
Good point, in hindsight – I’d have taken it before the game – but we deserved so much more.
The referee was beyond awful. Three probable penalties, not given. That disallowed goal…wow.
