Pretty fair comments there. Best team going forward we seen this year. Pace to burn and in Norwood and Sessegnon have a couple of really classy players. Much as we will hate to admit it KMc played well too.
Not an advert for defending by either side I think it’s fair to say
Cairney is class as well.

Strange game. To put it in perspective, on another day they'd have been roundly beaten. We had a lot of the play, and going by other games this season, we'd have put this game to bed given the chance. A couple of our players made individual mistakes, and as we pushed for the result we flattered them with the (eventual) scoreline.

Not taking anything away from them (you're always going to be buzzing scoring 5 away), they were clinical when it mattered, but from our point of view, luck played a large part in that result today. Looking forward to Saturday, because I honestly believe that's just one of those games. Set it aside and move on to the next one.

Thought Fulham were tremendous in the first half. The quality and speed of their passing even left us in the shade. Not something you could say about any team over the last couple of years.
They made the ball do all the work and at times we actually struggled to get hold of it.
Mistakes at the back and a couple of cruel deflections finally made it all too much but the character showed was there again and I'm not particularly worried as I don't think we'll see another performance against us again this season like that one.
We may not win every game - of course - but if we show the same determination (without the mistakes) on Saturday I think Birmingham could be in for a rough day.
Walked out with a Fulham fan who was very clued up about us. I agreed with him that Fleck was fantastic and Brooks is going to be very special but even he said we were unlucky tonight to run into them on that form as they've been toothless all season.
Forward as one.
Looking forward to Saturday already.

Still proud,

UTB

Best team to have visited the Lane this season by far. Both sides guilty of poor defending, but we gifted them a route back into the game and then lost all defensive shape in the last half hour.

I like the game to be played in the right manner. I hate losing, but I can always take losing to a better side. Disappointing that they did the usual sitting down every time the ball goes out of play (funny that they’re never so injured they need to sit down while the game is going on) and taking forever over every dead ball. You’d think at 5-2 up they’d have had more class to see out the game properly. Also why do referees always ignore these antics for 80 minutes, then feign being annoyed at it while forgetting they have the power to do something about it?

Fair enough. Only 1 "everyone in this league is shit, if we'd have done X then we'd be 10 points clear" comment

I thought Cairney looked the best player I've seen this year. Sessegnon took his goals superbly

Only one comment to take issue with is that they gave us our goals.. errrrr it so it was just returning the favour.

Otherwise fair comments and if they sort the defence out should be top six contenders. The quality in the forward line showed tonight.

Best passing team we have seen at the Lane, and they break with speed! We gave them their first 2 goals (although good finish for the second) and the cross field pass for the 5th goal looked offside?

This is what we should be proud of - shit or bust football played in the right way until players are on their knees having given their all. Credit to Fulham - they looked like SUFC near to our best, and we were someway below our best but still worthy of a standing ovation at the end. Why Fulham couldn't approach their play-off games last season with that attitude is a mystery to me.
I think the CCV blunder was a real turning point though; I suspect the game wouldn't have turned out anything like it did but for that.
We missed Coutts for sure, but Clarke showed once again what an unbelievable talent he is.
I'll take games like this anytime over the point Wednesday made versus Bristol City - that point being that the Owls fans are never going to get value for money whilst the Chansiri Chancers are at the ship's helm.

Some comments from Slavisa Jokanovic.

Speaking to the press after a pulsating encounter in south Yorkshire, the Serbian head coach said:

It was a crazy game. It was great entertainment for the supporters, a little bit less for us! We needed a victory after some games where we didn’t play at a good enough level. We must be satisfied with three points, and now we keep moving forward.

We tried to attack them where in the past they have tried to attack teams. We found space, we played with fast players, they found this space very well and they showed their quality to finish the chances we created. I think we caused more problems and damage than they did. At the end of the day, there’s only one goal difference, I feel we deserved a little bit more of a comfortable victory, but they’re one of the best Championship teams and I must be satisfied.

Jokanovic was critical of how easy Leon Clarke found it to notch another Championship hat-trick, bemoaning the poor defensive mistakes that allowed the Blades back into a contest that had seemed cut and dried.

We tried to stop their centre-backs overlapping, we tried to stop them getting many people in our box. They found some space between our lines and did some damage. For the first, second and third goals I didn’t think they did enough to score them, but in the end it’s our fault they scored four goals and we need to be more solid. We cannot expect to score five goals to win a game.

The Fulham head coach was full of praise for how the home side kept going in adversity and the way in which his opposite number Chris Wilder changed the contest late on.

Sheffield United are a team in great form. They are full of confidence, they are a fast and strong team who play with energy to win games. They are only recently promoted from League One, but they are one of the realistic candidates to be a Premier League team next season, and so you have to respect the coach and the team for what they’re doing this season.

The speed of their passing and running really caught us off guard today.

Great game of football, shame there were so many errors.

Better from Lundstram today. He’s not the answer though.

Nice one as usual Roy.

For all the rubbish being spouted by some of their fans in your pre-match view, they've balanced this out tonight.

One things for certain, they know who Sheffield United are now !

My mistake thought number 10 was Norwood. Cairney was excellent!
Blame my confusion on watching that game.

Well said. If anyone was wondering how to improve a very good Sheffield United side then Fulham provided some examples last night. Get some bloody pace in there! That's just about all that is standing between us being a very good side and an excellent one.
