"Good luck to Sheffield United in the final - by far the better team over the two legs." "Beaten by a far better team no shame in that. We can hold our heads high and we go again next season." "An aggregate scoreline that shows the difference in quality between the two sides. Well doneroysviewfrom.com
"If there’s one thing we can take is that we can compete with most Champ clubs except maybe Sunderland and Leeds with fanbase and support off the pitch”
Don't know how getting thumped 6-0 creates that thought, but okay.
I imagine so, but it's not bullshit imo. The payments help enormously, our budget is much higher than theirs and it showed.I wonder if Leeds and Burnley had to put up with all this “parachute payment” bullshit.
Soz, it’s utter bullshit. Whereas I do agree PP are a thing. Almost every team in the Championship (with the exception of PNE and Bristol City) have made that initial leap and broken through the so called parachute disparity. At the start of every season all teams know that it is possible to buck the trend and should really stop bleating on about it. PP are a hard earned benefit of promotion if managed correctly…See Luton.I imagine so, but it's not bullshit imo. The payments help enormously, our budget is much higher than theirs and it showed.
Felt like us last season, getting to the 60th minute and having Spurs or Liverpool bring on five more players that would be our best player by miles, while we bring on Larouci, Osborn, Osula and Slimani.
It's possible to buck the trend, but that doesn't mean the advantage is not significant. Leicester won the PL, but surely nobody would argue that the gap between the biggest teams and the rest hasn't grown in the last twenty years.Soz, it’s utter bullshit. Think they mean 0 promotions from 6 play off campaigns, much as we've won a few semi finals along the way, without ultimately succeeding. The bloke who says they are 0-6 in play offs appears to have forgotten one.![]()
Except it was only 18m in the end. Still a lot mind!Them parachute payments allowing us to spend £24m on Brewster..... 5 years ago
