If Sky are going to show so many matches we cannot expect them to always have good Co commentators especially on the red button.
Yeah does seem they are trying out newer people on the sky plus streams. Wasn't the old red button games mostly one commentator?

Cheers Roy.

Pretty decent set of comments really. We would have probably accepted a point when the equaliser went in.

Credit to Chris and the boys for going all out for the win.

I've totally missed the Earnshaw commentary, but seen a lot of comments about it.

I was watching on SUTV for about 3 mins before I had to turn it off. Co-Comm on there was Danny Hall, but the problem I had was that it was the Radio commentary so they never shut up, like never. It's because they have to describe everything for the radio listener, even though I can see it on the TV.

Anyway i flicked over to Robins TV and listened to their commentary. It was OK. Not sure who their co-comm was. Could have been Earnshaw?

As a Bristol City fan, my perspective fwiw.

Thinking..
*Draw would have been about fair on balance.
*You shaded the first, we controlled the first 30-35 mins of the 2nd. You came strong after that.
*Referee was decent- Both the Red Card and Penalty were correct.
*If not for some big errors by us, we could perhaps have won, albeit pressure was building so I still think draw. O'Leary could perhaps have caught the content before the equaliser and Dickie doesn't usually do that though he is srill quite rusty having been out since 24th August until start of November but as per we have rather incessant injuries and to key positions too, no fit right back e.g. and before that it was LB.

Dunno how many Sheffield United have, but depth of Souza, O'Hare, Hamer, Brewster, Moore, Campbell plus young talent like Arblaster. Some or all of Ahmedhodzic Souza, Hamer heavily linked with moves away towards end of Summer? Arblaster too maybe.

Experience is an interesting debate, saw ways to measure it I guess. Experience by age or by game.

Good luck for season, think Sheffield United will definitively finish top 4 and could well be top 2. Leeds have been my tip for the title in August but they seem to have excellent Stats in most areas but not necessarily the same number of Points.

Watched the first half with a Bristol commentary and all they were wittering on about was parachute payments and we must have a huge wage bill, Premier league players blah blah. The reality is we only have Prem players on loan young uns at that, nowt stopping Bristol getting a few on loan. The bulk of our team otherwise is our academy players five were on the pitch tonight, we started with a free transfer up front too.
We have to pay to get premiership players on loan!! Some of these are paid for by parachute payments.

Correct.

I would add on an objective note, Parachutes vs Solidarity help to retain (Parachute Payments isn't the sole picture as PL also distribute Solidarity Payments ans the gap there is perhaps £40-45m for Year 1) and the up to £10m for Osuala was possibly timely as it helped to get a couple more in.

PL loans don't generally come cheap btw. We were told this at a Fans Forum in 2022, Loan Managers at PL Clubs are expected now to turn a Profit.

Paid for by parachute payments due to getting promoted to the Premier League, something you Wednesday fans seem to not understand.
