No compliants from me about anything yesterday, a great return to the champ, but the noise was epic, the comment from them about the atmosphere was just jealousy, I feel sorry for them, 1100, we took more to Stocksbridge last month, let that sink in for a minute, brentfordlona..
We took nearly as many as that to Malaga in Spain for a fucking friendly !!!

"The Championship has change" they said, yes it has, teams don't like it up em, fucking moan like old women when things don't go their way and we've got piss poor teams like fucking Brentford (who the fukc are Brentford) preaching to us about how the beautiful game should be played.

Sour wanky fucking Brentford, pipe down, you've always been small time, you'll always be small time.

Cheers Panchero!

Not sure where their complaints are coming from, the ones complaining should be us because we put the ball in the net three times and were only given one of them! Chatting to to two Blades in the pub after, who sit right on the box line and said that one was a very harsh decision.

And, how fitting that the opening goal of the season was scored by Sir Billy Sharp OBE, the Captain of the team, a player who leads by example.

UTB.

Thanks as always, Roy, but in the spirit of constructive criticism is there not an argument for delaying the "view from" after one of our home games until, say, late the following morning? It gives their fans who have actually attended the game time to get back home and might result in some more thoughtful (and more interesting) contributions from people who have actually attended the match and had time to collect their thoughts rather than those who have listened to the commentary on local radio or just posted their immediate reactions on the way back to the coach.

Alternatively, an initial "view from" on the night with a follow-up piece the day after?

Don't want to add unduly to your workload, of course...

They were definitely doing plenty of niggling and the ref let a lot go.

We were pretty much in line with both offsides and one was right (Billy) and Leon's was wrong.

One thing we noticed throughout the game was that their runs on to through balls were hardly ever offside, whereas we had plenty. On the basis that most of the decisions were correct, that suggests that they timed their runs better than us and that their players making the pass were a spilt second quicker to spot the opportunity. Just my theory :-)

Think you are correct about their through alls being better timed but they got caught offside quite a lot as the game went towards its climax. We defended well throught out though. When you decide to surrender the forward part of the midfield though, as we did again yesterday, players do have a split second more.

that's a fair point actually.. most of the commenters were obviously not there cos they'd have been driving back..
not half as entertaining though :D

The Brentford fans have found this thread and some of the responses deserve an airing...

First of all, on Roygbiv: "This ****er lifts the worst stuff from here and trolls that site for a reaction. No balance. He's a knob - is he brave enough to show himself on here? On some kind of ego trip (unsurprisingly for a blogger)."

The irony of: "their so thick it's unbelievable" yep, "their".

The bizarre yet amusing: "That must have been the first home game they've had in years where they didn't start the afternoon with a minutes silence for the loss of their Premiership status." Mate, you've never been in the Premier League.

In general though, their comments seem a bit more balanced now they've had a nights kip and calmed down from their mardy meltdown http://www.griffinpark.org/forums/showthread.php?t=126844&page=3

To any deluded Brentford fans reading this, suck on that fat one. Forever in Fulham and QPR's shadow.

Feel sorry for the ones who are actually intelligent and didn't underestimate us/saw the game in a balanced way.

Hard to argue with that, to be fair.

There does seem a lot of sour grapes...The time Roy put the thread up,most Bees fans who were at the game were probably still travelling back to London...i'd hazard a guess most of the comments were from Brentford fans who watched on their ipads on ifollow...not that they don't have an opinion, but everyone sees things different whether your sat in a different stand it watching at home.
I think we beat a decent side, and they'll be up there around the play off's for me,but we put one of our chances away and they didn't,and we also had 2 disallowed, one of which looked a perfectly good goal aswell as hitting the woodwork a couple of times,so can't have any complaints.

As stated elsewhere I got these quotes about 7pm and there does seem to be more balanced comments on there now. I certainly didn't pick out the negative quotes though. At that time they were the quotes I saw. I always try to include a bit of balance as everyone who reads every week will know but when I picked the quotes last night that was what I saw.

I think they are probably a bit embarrassed by some of their fans reaction to be honest. I am tickled by the "is he brave enough to come on here" comment. It's a forum on the Net not a back alley in the East End

It's definitely something to think about. The issue is I get loads of messages saying "come on Roy, where is the view from" so try and do it as quick as possible. I'd happily leave it a day

You shouldn't bother explaining yourself to the deluded shandy, sorry lager top drinking whingers Roy. Pretty standard Fayre from Knowsnowts enjoying their time in the spotlight. Pity they don't have the quality of their team. Bitter tossers.

Why? Add to it later Roy. The initial hysteria from the armchair mobs is part of the enjoyment. It's their owns fans who post the shite, let them take them to task.

Yeah, you do take FOREVER.

:)

9 page thread on here about a few people posting after a defeat suggests you lot are more bothered about it than anyone.

I'm more bothered by my hangover than losing one game.
