View From Brentford

We did resort to a bit of aimless hoofball for the last 10 minutes when we were just trying to grind out the result, but before that we matched Brentford stride for stride. They looked more dangerous on the counter, but we had plenty of opportunities to put the game to bed and had it well under control. I actually felt we went a bit negative towards the end, but we came away with 3 points so no complaints.

Go easy on 'em guys; they know that what they post on their forum will only be viewed by a handful of supporters as a % of their total "support" whereas it will then be read by substantially more once those comments are patched through to here. They're basically a tin-pot club with miniscule support that has miraculously survived a period in a league way above their status, and they are enjoying a brief spell of "superiority delusion" that is then mixed with a bag of "wind-up" soup that we're supposed to swallow. For Gawd's sake don't give them any satisfaction by actually swallowing any of this drivel, or it might just allow some of them to raise a glimmer of a smile to lighten the deep gloom of an otherwise thoroughly depressing day out. Bless............

Wow...firstly thanks Roy. What a bitter bunch that lot come across. O'Connell a donkey but won every ball , close game granted but we took our chance, live with that it's football, spirit, commitment, the will to win can get you you far. My opinion, well done Blades on a close hard fought contest

don't think they are allowed to show replays during the game. I barely noticed the screen was busy watching the match. I guess it brings a good income in from advertising and looks the dogs bollocks. Only my opinion of course utb

They're on my shit list now, such a shame, as one of the first United matches I saw was an old camcorder video of us playing away at Brentford, always had a soft spot for them after that.

Was difficult to tell. Most of those on the BLUT seemed to be wearing Blades shirts :)
 
I'm thinking carefully with a couple of drinks going down before response. Steaming from the ears after reading the Billy big boy Brentford shite. Delusions of grandeur from a bunch of West London numpties is first response. I'll look for the good, if I can find any later.

Some salty comments, got to say they played well today and their middleman Woods? Was their best player.

But some of the comments like above, you think they never been in league one before, I remember Brentford being there.
Today we had to find our feet it wasn't perfect but we pulled through and got the 3 points, sure improvements are needed but it was never going to be perfect today.
 



I wonder how many actually went to the match? Comments smack of people watching the BBC site and or local radio commentary. Fucking hilarious comments. Who the fuck are Brentford anyway. Punching well above their weight. We know who we are. We know where we have been, highs and lows. We know we have the potential to improve again and get back to the premier sometime. Maybe not stay there long, but get there. Brentford, sorry but you have peaked. Only 1100 of you turned up to the first game of the season against a team you said you would spank. Enjoy feeling superior. It won't fucking last long. Now jog on and weep into your shandy. Rant over, time for a celebratory drink, not the most emphatic victory, but hey, it felt good. Fuck the Bees , fuck the Pigs.
