Then there's 2 very tight offsides to look at aswell.

Seems the referee was not bent then, just incompetent.
I really don't know how fans can complain about added on time when their players roll around on the floor feigning injury, only to re-enter the field immediately they've reached the touchline. Not just Blackpool by the way, but most teams that come to the Lane. The sport I once loved is becoming a joke.

I thought they add 30 secs for every sub - 7 subs = 3.1/2 mins plus 30 secs for each goal celebration - 6 = 3 mins plus injuries plus time wasting plus ball being held by the crowd …. they should still be playing…
 
Great game - I loved it.

Their comments though - they were shithousing after 50 minutes. Loads of substitutions, one of their players laying flat out (I thought he had expired at one point) only to miraculously rise from the turf, add the bellends behind the goal keeping the ball and chucking the spare back on - Hey ho 8 minutes (minimum).

Please F@@k off back to the shithole aka Blackpool pronto

Conveniently forgetting the ref holding his watch up in the air at them when they wouldnt give the ball back twice, their own player down for 4 minutes because he accidentally headbutted Baldocks Knee. Deluded fans.

No mention of the blatant hand ball by one of their players either. They think they were done hard by the ref. Sheesh.

Not sure we were watching the same game as the Scag Town fans, I thought the ref was from fucking Fleetwood, the amount of play ons he gave them and seemed to blame our players for getting pushed over and pulled back, but hey ho.
 
Read the first few then had to stop.

Not often a ref gives a pen and sends 2 of theirs off and he’s still as wank as that.

Thought Blackpool got their tactics spot on today, stop Norwood and stop us. Madine was good, 12 was good, keeper was good. 21 was absolutely crap.

This one is a bit out there lads, but maybe some of the added time was for when you repeatedly held onto the ball in the crowd and then threw it back onto the pitch once a second one was in play to - you know - waste time?

If he'd been as corrupt as they're suggesting then he'd have given McAtee the pen in the first half. There was a tiny bit of contact. Never a pen in my opinion but I've seen them given.
 
I must have a very old memory bank. I was listening on Radio Sheffield, as we were down 2-3, and I fully expected most Blades teams from the past would have gone down 2-4, even after Blackpool getting 2 players sent off!

This Blades team is made of sterner stuff. Even with things going against us, they managed to salvage a draw. That puts a more positive spin on the result. Team spirit wins, and we are on our way back!
 
I'm frustrated we didn't win that having 2 extra men for so long. I was disappointed in our performance before the game changed but looking back at the highlights I'd forgot that especially in the first half we could easily have scored 5 alone.
The offside goal at the start didn't look offside, Doyle's effort that was saved, McAtee's effort in the dying minutes was a whisker wide. Fair to say Blackpool could have scored maybe another too with Madine effort.

As for the ref Blackpool fans moaning about him. He got a few things wrong. However the biggest was probably our penalty award. It was no pen. The handball absolutely was. Anels goal was also not offside.
The sending offs during the game absolutely were correct, and I didn't see it as a push on the keeper for the equaliser, both went for the cross that's all.
The ref should also have played nearer to 10 or 11 mins with time wasting from their fans and their players during added time.
 
Yes the ref was crap by missing a hand ball disallowing two good goals and not adding more time on. What a pile of shit their fans are moaning about added time when they keep the ball twice then throwing the ball back when a replacement arrives wasting more time.
Antics from their time wasting players. The only way to stop this time wasting is to start booking em. Book them for rolling around, book them for walking off slowly right across the pitch that’s the only way to stop them.
Blackpool well I hope they go down and disappear into the halls of nonentity.
Hecky’s meeting with the refs before the game made no difference of the antics of Blackpool a shit house club with a shithouse set of fans and absolute disgrace to the memory of players like Stanley Matthews. Get relegated and vanish

Yeah the 8 minutes was no shock at all. Probably should have been more. Emotional fans with no common sense filter.

Such a shame about the Ahmedhozdic disallowed goal, looks onside with the replay. Also Brewster's penalty being an inch too far to the right. If either of those were goals, we'd very possibly have won in the most exciting fashion.

(Not to mention sitters for Egan and a slightly lesser extent Basham)
 
They're a good side to watch going forward. Yates was really good.

We could have scored 8 despite being pretty shit. The 2 lads sent off were 2 of the worst players I've seen in a while.

Time wasting, subs walking off like snails, sending offs. Fans keeping the ball then throwing it back on the pitch , goal kicks taking for ever, that’s the 8 minutes

Appelton's comments after the match - even he doesn't agree with their idiot fans:

"Understand the first one. I thought it was a little bit soft, but I get it. Not sure it would have happened at the other end, but I get it.

"The second one is a little bit of stupidity from one of our young players, who will learn from it and be a better person and a better player from the experience, I am sure of that.

The bias of football fans is insane. You can complain about a lot of refereeing but one of the biggest things wrong in football is that people blame refs for "losing control" while not questioning an adult professional player turning and punting the ball at another player from three yards away. I don't care what the ref's done, it's fucking childish stupidity that everyone knows is a card.

Refereeing in football is garbage but maybe we could put a little bit of responsibility on players when they flagrantly break the rules and get punished for it? Both red cards are for the most blatant second yellows you'll ever see. And yet some football fans are so blinkered they just can't see it when it's their team.
