Interesting read, thanks very much Roy.
Wasn't expecting much after that game to be fair, but I think they missed a trick not getting Leon an Wright in on loan!! ;) 😁

Fair comments really from them, can’t disagree, we played our B team and they stopped us playing by pushing high onto us and pressing all over
We never seemed to get going or get any momentum going

Agree the Ravel Morrison tackle was so late...it was almost an assault.
Fortunately he didn’t connect with their play that hard and their player didn’t role around like he’d been shot.
It looked more of a stupid/ petulant/ tired mistake than a nasty aggressive foul

But those types of challenges do often result in a red card.
It was the 92nd minute and I think the ref just wanted to end the game without controversy.

Well the first comment is spot on.

Certainly no points on offer to either team.

I think if both sets of fans think the referee is shit, the EFL should look into it.

Absolutely shocking, now I'm not one to talk really considering my physical condition, but he has to be one of the least fit refs about. Hardly strayed out of the centre circle, and almost seemed to be stopping play because he couldn't see it (the advantage not played the prime example).

Awful, awful ref, guessing at decisions he was miles from.

Cheers Roy.

The EFL couldn’t look into a mirror without getting confused.

I think all refs are assessed tbf, by their own organisation.

It wasn't a mistake, it was a perfectly timed clip on their players boot. The attack would probably have come to nothing, but It was a clever foul. Never a sending off unless he had been through on goal, but it was always going to be a booking as it was so blatant.

A good sign in my view that he was happy to pick up the yellow for the sake of the team.

Something similar after Bash had lost the ball on Saturday would have been ideal, had Fleck been playing he may have seen the danger and taken one for the team (if he could have got there)

Thanks Roy. Devotion to duty!

Thanks Roy.

I think they were too nice to us in those comments, we deserved much more bitterness.

Lets not forget the linesman, or have we as they did nowt. Its coming to the point other than giving offside what is there actual use ? A ball that was clearly kicked by a Blackburn player into touch was seen easily by us in the stand yet the Linesman who was nearer and must have been 5 metres away from the ball going out gave the throw in to them ??

Fair comments on the whole. We’d think the same if we’d have played half decent against a newly promoted team last season. We didn’t cover ourselves in glory with the performance but won so not worth getting upset about.

Doesn’t surprise me to see those comments.. lived in Blackburn many years ago when they were a rising lower division team. Before all the millions of investment. Folks are salt o’ the earth.

I thought Dack was class and me and a few others clapped him when he came off. A very good effort by their lads and best of luck to them this season.

Didn't go so can't really comment on this game I'd say the opposite based on experience

When both sets of fans hate the ref, they should promote him, it shows he's doing the job right

It's like when my two mates (one an out-and-out socialist, the other a right of centre Brexiteer) both accuse the BBC of bias. Must be doing something right.

yes, I've got 2 of those as well. A lefty I know, is 100% certain that Marr, kuntzburg and Nick Robinson are all guaranteed tories on the take. But we all know that the whole organisation is run by trotskys, right?

Another great example is Sheffield Council bias against the blades. Their latest burst of anti united vitriol is to restrict the size of the crowds in the North stand at Hillsbrough.

Couldn't care less about a Blackburn fan's opinion on a carabao cup game.

Oh dear, after the game I backed them to finish Top6 and Top Half but their fans' comments make me wonder now

AFAIR Betts, Blunkett and Hattersley were all pigs .. and all commies.

Did anyone else notice Duffy flashed up on the screen as a sub at the start of the match when showing the team:eek:haha blunder

I can’t argue with any of that , good honest calls , fair play to them

How on God's earth can the leftist see the BBC as bias to the right?! I'm in neither camp but after this Brexit fiasco I will never trust mainstream media ever again.

Well because former political editor Nick Robinson was president of the Conservative Association at Oxford University and his successor Laura Kuenssberg has been found guilty over misleading the public over Corbyn (editing his answers to questions) to cite just two examples.
