Unless you normalise by the games played that table doesn't really tell you much. All it tells you is that teams who have been in the division longer have committed more fouls. No shit Sherlock. Hardly a sound basis for statistical analysis. Same table below normalised by games played, but to make proper analysis you'd need the stats for every team that has ever played in the premier league.
