VAR VAR is not destroying my enjoyment of games

We'll you say that but there are plenty of posters on Here today stating that it is ruining their enjoyment and some even stating that they have/will stop attending.

I think they are fucking mad. I've never had so much fun, literally can't wait for the next game

Watching the best football we've probably ever seen and the fact that VAR can spoil that for some shows how wrong VAR is.

It's fair to say that covid19 has ruined my season.

You can't change the rules of a league 3/4 of the way through it. Fully support them keeping it this season, they should massively alter it for next season though.

To be honest, when I look back at older games, and they are passing back to the goalkeeper, it seems so unusual and wrong, and then you remember all the fuss it caused.
In preparation for the restart, and to test out my set up, I’ve been watching a few ‘Classics’ on Sky. Liverpool v Man Utd (from 2008-ish) being one, the offsides, elbows, diving, penalties, handballs etc and it all depended on whether Ronald, Rooney or Gerrard could con the referee, or how much pressure Ferdinand and eight players could put on him to produce a yellow card.
It did actually make me think, that these classic games might also eventually seem a bit old fashioned seeing a goal awarded and the player is yards offside or a crucial last minute penalty that wins the game and the replay shows a blatant dive -when we get used to VAR and the system has been ironed out and works better it will just be the norm.
Like when you fish out an old mobile that you thought was the bees knees, and wonder how you ever scrolled the internet on such a small crappy screen. It’s only going back, you realise how things have evolved.
I’m not saying VAR is better, just once we’ve had it a few seasons, there’s no way we will get rid of it.

I noticed the same in the championship. Goals given that should have been ruled out. I still think it needs tweaking and it’s infuriating with some of the offsides but the bigger clubs did tend to get away with a lot.
