Great game and United dominated it for large parts. I was really pleased at the way we got the ball down and played for most of the game. We made We******y look exactly what they are - third rate! Blades arguably deserved to pinch it but I'm happy we burst their bubble after they went in front.

A nice little reminder to them of who owns the city. They will find it very hard to stay up now, they needed maximum points from that. Morgan was a beast today, what a captain! Well done to Quinny as well, who had a great game apart from a couple of silly moments at the end. Much improved from him.

UTB!

Cressie was excellent as well - think he's a blade now, last man to leave the field of play well done

They don't need maximum points, they just need to equal Palace next week then beat them on the last day.

I think they'll stay up. Bastards.

The beauty is that if the scumbags lose to Cardiff, Palace dont play til the Monday so will know a win will keep them up and most likely send them down!

Don't be too sure. It could go either way. At the moment I wouldnt fancy the piggies to stay up. They have a tough match at Cardiff whilst Palace are at home, to an already promoted West Brom. Watford are probably at home next saturday as well. I think it will go to the last day though.

Mmmm, by the time West Brom travel to Palace their season could be well and truly over. Assuming Newcastle get something tonight, that's the title gone and absolutely nothing to play for. West Brom players mentally may well already be on the beach by next Monday. Cardiff still have things to play for in terms of the advantage of finishing higher for the play-offs and teams don't want to go into the play-offs on the back of a couple of defeats. It looks dicey for the swine, with the glimmer of hope being Watford I think. Anything at QPR tomorrow night for them, could be about enough, but home to Reading on Saturday may be the decider for them.

Looking at the fixtures, Wednesday must be favourites to go down. I agree that Palace are more likely to get something at home to WBA than Wednesday are at Cardiff. As I see it, worse case scenario for SWFC is that they are down by Monday, (realistic) best case scenario is that they need to beat Palace in the last game with the latter only needing a draw.

Yeah and how beautiful would it be for all the dirty filthy little scum bag piggies to be at a full swillsborough knowing the team they are playing are staying up and them shits are going down.

PLEASE PLEASE LET THIS HAPPEN.

I think I'd prefer leaving the snortbeasts in their thousands (given they expect 30k+) having to decide whether or not turn up for a wake against Palace having been relegated next Monday!

What I was hoping for was a little crueler. Lets say going into the last day the pigs are 3 points behind Palace and that Watford are already safe. The pigs need to beat Palace 8-0 to stay up, bang! Palace score in the 92nd minute.

And Paul Hart does a merry jig at the final whistle across the piggy turf (a la David Pleat) just to rub it all in.

I'd find it interesting even if they were to stay up that the only reason they did so was because of a points deduction - given the way that they spouted off at us over the Tevez issue and the whole "it was in your hands, stop complaining, stop blaming others" argument.

Or.... (This is fun this), Pigs needing a win are one nil up and palace get a goal in the 90th minute, but the pigs get a goal straight after, only to see palace score with the very very last kick of the game. All the pigs leaving stadium in tears. Some are so angry they smash up the stadium and set fire to the place.Lee Strappon gets caught in the flames and the excess fat causes massive explosions and flames. In the aftermath they realise they could not afford the insurance for the shit hole and the club goes bust and the whole piggy fan base commits mass suicide, meaning sales of pork, bacon and gammon hit an all time low and swillsborough is made into a proper sewage plant instead of a pretend one ,which it is now.

Don't forget the blades link. Palace stuff them on the last day leaving Pembo to join the blades academy as a hero.

But, personally and like to see them sent down as soon as possible so a Cardiff win on Saturday and a Palace win on Monday will do for me.

UTB

I'm just looking forward to having HD Video footage of Wendy fans crying on my Sky box for all eternity.

But Cardiff are guaranteed a play-off spot, which could mean resting one or two.

I am of the opinion that's there's a still another twist to come with the remaining fixtures.

As bad as wendy are, I have a sneaking suspiciion that one of the others down there will slip up!

Ah yes, but Cardiff still need the points to assure a home tie in the second leg of the semi. I also think they will want to put on a bit of a show in their last "normal" game before their own fans. So add together:

1. Extremely nervous Wednesday players
2. Cardiff with something to play for, but not much, so not much pressure on them.
3. The desire to go out on a high note on Cardiff's part
4. The fact that Cardiff's players are better than Wednesday's anyway

...and I see Cardiff to win 2or 3 to nil.

And, in SWFC do lose, Palace will go into their game on the Monday knowing a win will keep them up and (assuming Watford don't mess up in their 2 games) send Wednedsay down, whilst playing against a team whose mind, as someone has already said, is on the beach.

Since you put it like that Darren,..................................whooooooh!............................ you've got me all excited now!

Didn't Cardiff miss out on the play-offs last season because of a last day defeat at the sty?

I'd be wanting some revenge for that if I were them.

Reading could do everyone a favour this week by losing to both Scunny and Watford.

(assuming Watford don't mess up in their 2 games) .

Watters have actually got 3 games to mess up in but I am not so confident that they can get the necessary.
They have two away and one at home.
They have QPR away - who are safe but managed by our Neil - so he may rest a few for that game, fingers crossed.
They have Reading at home - who won't be going into the play offs but will no doubt tear them to shreads.
Then they have Chaventry away.

The fat lady is warming up - but she is still not as fat as Strap-on.

More like the 6-0 drubbing they had vs Preston - which I think had something to do with one of their players messing about with anothers Mrs.

Mathematically, I think Reading can still make the play-offs, although highly unlikely.

9 points behind Swansea, 3 games left, same goal diff!

Until they can't make them, they'll be going for it.

By 2 games, I meant 2 games before Palace play next Monday. If Wednesday lose on Saturday, Watford only need to get 1 point from those 2 games to be safe (barring a heavy win for Wednesday and a heavy defeat for Watford on the last day).

I thought there was only Blackpool who aren't in a play-off position who can still mathematically make it.
